Influences
This band is definitely influenced by listening to music. You can hear whatever influences you want to hear in the music so go for it! A lot of our inspiration comes from people on our friends list here on Myspace.
Viben Oodle is: Josh Herrington - alto sax; Andy Woodward - bass; Parker Simmons - drums.
Viben Oodle is dedicated to making instrumental music through exploring the fertile hinterland of the trio - on steroids. The Blacksburg, VA based band has been together for nearly two years and has created a distinct voice in electronic jazz. Viben Oodle has been commented on as being a band that sounds like nothing that a new listener could have ever expected to hear and full of explosions and plot changes. Cinematic art groove perhaps... The basis of Viben Oodle is organic chemistry. Each tune changes every time it's played to keep everything fresh from our (n)oodles and viben like a mother. Most shows last for as long as the vibe is strong (until everyone is gone).
That should bring you up to date... these musicians are having a conversation you'll have a great time listening in on. A press package can be found under Viben Oodle's section on the record label's website which is excitingly now underway at www.misconstroodle.com.
All CD releases from Viben Oodle and other Misconstroodle musicians can be purchased from the Misconstoodle catalog page on the label website.

Hey everyone. the word BROWN wants to thank all of our new friends. We don't make a habit of sending out mass comments but we just want to welcome all the newcomers. Our debut album is being mastered as we speak and will be released this summer. Thanks again. Nate
"Tack!" for support. Ahh, everything is super with me today. The sun is shining and the good vibrations are spreading. I'm greatful for every listening I can get.
I hope you have a super weekend! Namaste
Yeah, J. I agree. This new one sounds the best of any of our recordings. It's chock full o' energy and we recorded it one-room one-time style. I just wish more people would add themselves to our friend list so they can know about our shows! And leave comments on here too, like the fucking lord of the rings trilogy you just left on here.
This new album is really, really good. I'm loving the groove on "Walden", and the Drum and Bass influence on the groove in "Tanuki".
I like how this album still has the 'brain' music quality, and also you can really hear the grooves talk.
Personally, the process of recording the second Jungl Ed album was a much smoother undertaking. Our recording methods had improved, as experience is the ultimate teacher. After talking with Parker, seems he felt the same thing about the recording of this album. Starting with the drum tracks just makes life easier.
...and don't get me wrong, i think "Misconstroodle" is my favorite album to hear at the dentist's office. But "Soaked in Antimatter" is meant to be cranked up. "It's a party for the brain."... and no you can't use that, i like it, and i'm going to use it for us. Nah-na-nan-nuh-nan-na.
