Vice human is the oldest Greek Heavy Metal band in existence and the first to ever release a Heavy Metal Lp in Greece, back in 1984!!!
In its 20+ years history and with many now known Greek metal musicians being part of its line-up, it's one of the most known Heavy Meatl bands in Greece and has a Cult status all over the globe.
It all started in the early eighties when Guitarist and singer Nick Papakostas , in order to start a new band, started rehearsing with drummer Nick Geraris. Not much later Kostas Manopoulos joined the band on bass and and they started gigging. In 1984 the decision was made to put out a self financed album and with Manopoulos becoming the band's 2nd guitarist, as the band found a new bassist in the face of Akis Thomas, the first album was recorded and released.
The success was big (for a privately pressed LP) and the band got to sign with record company FM Records and 1985 saw the band's second LP "Metal Attack" being released with new guitarist George Manolidakis replacing Manopoulos.
After these two LP's the band continued to exist with many line up changes, concerts and a few Demo recordings, but it was not before 2003 that Supreme Music Creations found the leading force behind the band, Nick Papakostas and offered him to release the third album "Set Me Free" on cd. A great comeback for the band that regained its status on the Greek Metal Scene and created a new fan base. Just when they thought it was safe...
In 2004 "Beyond this Life" LP was released, in order to celebrate the 20 years of the band, on vinyl format. Recorded by the original trio Papakostas-Geraris-Manopoulos it containned new songs along with re-recorded versions of songs from their second album "Metal Attack", as it was about time for tracks such as "Hooligan Hero", "Metal wars" and "Alive in the night" to be heard the way they ought to, with fine production unlike the poor sounding but legendary in our days second LP "Metal Attack".
After this release, with new members Michael Bakoulas and Bill Xirokostas on bass and drums, support slots with USA Metal Gods Brocas Helm, NWOBHM heroes Diamond head and Guitar legend Ross The Boss and his band, the band is as ready as ever to deliver what the do best...
