VICE PRESIDENTES – “BLOODOLA” NEW EP!
Here it is VICE PRESIDENTES' new work. After the first one, “Basque Street Boys”, the band played with the vocalist SORKUN, producing an album that was recorded in the USA and making an extense live tour. The album, called “Sorkun & Vice Presidentes” supposed a change on the music style of the Presidentes, something closer to stoner-kind tunes. Now, VICE PRESIDENTES are back!! They return to the first album's brutal sound, creating this 6 track EP.
BLOODOLA is a special work for many reasons. First, it's the band's first vinyl release (7” red vinyl). The EP will be available in mp3 format downloading it from Vice Presidentes' myspace site. Second, DORBU bassplayer is the sound engineen and he has recorded the album in the band's rehearsal room. This is the real VICE PRESIDENTES: 6 tracks, 10 minutes. 6 punches in your nose.
You will find a cover of Mike Oldfield's classic “Tubular bells”, but re-named (“Jugular Bells”) and re-visited on a grinding free way!! Another interesting point is the fact that the band uses three different languages: english ( “Jugular Bells”, “Planck's lenght” and “Ready to spread the disease”), basque (“Denak errudun” and “Ezpain josiak”) and spanish ( “Hombres de sangre negra”) . In this last one we can hear the special guest vocals of Oliver, lead singer of the basque band BRONZE.

Hementxe dago VICE PRESIDENTES talde Gasteiztarraren lan berria. “Basque Street Boys” aurreneko diskoa argitaratu ostean, taldeak SORKUN abeslariarekin elkartu zituen indarrak, Estatu Batuetan grabatutako lana sortuaz eta kontzertu bira oparua eskeiniaz. Diskoa “Sorkun & Vice Presidentes” lelopean, aldaketa suposatu zuen taldearen estiloan, stoner-rock doinuetara gehiago hurbildu zelarik. Oraingo honetan, VICE PRESIDENTES bere lehenengo diskoan jorratutako doinuetara gerturatzen da berriz, 6 abestiko EP berri hau erdituaz.
BLOODOLA lan berezia da taldearentzat arrazoi askorengatik: hasteko, binilo formatoan burutzen duen aurrenekoa dugu (7”tako binilo gorria, konkretuki). EP-ak formato digitalean dohainik jeitsi ahal izango da bandaren myspace orrialdean bertan (osorik, portadarekin eta bideokliparekin). Bestalde, grabaketaren arduraduna DORBU baxujolea izan da eta entsegu lokalean bertan erregistratu ditu BLOODOLAn agertzen zaizkigun doinuak. Eta esan bezala, VICE PRESIDENTES-en benetako nortasuna berreskuratzen da diskoan; 6 abesti 10 minututan, 6 kolpe zuzen aurpegira.
Arreta deitzen du diskoa irekitzen duen abestia, “Jugular Bells”, Mike Oldfield-en “Tubular bells” famatuaren adaptazio librea. “The Exorcist” filman agertzen den neska deabrua izutzeko modukoa!! Beste datu interesgarria hizkuntza ezberdinen erabilpena dugu: “Jugular Bells”, “Planck's lenght” eta “Ready to spread the disease” abestiak ingelesez dira, “Denak errudun” eta “Ezpain josiak” euskeraz diren bitartean. Gazteleraz egindako kantua ere entzun dezkegu “Hombres de sangre negra” izenburuarekin (azken honetan kolaborazio berezia topatzen dugu, Bronze talde Gasteiztarraren Oliver abeslaria hain zuzen).
VICE PRESIDENTES grindcore basatia eta rock'n'rolla nahastea ez duela ahaztu erakusten digu eta bide batez, thrash erritmo gehiago erabiltzen ditu ere, gure lepoak hausteko helmugarekin. Hemen dago BLOODOLA - Egon prest transfusiorako!!
VICE PRESIDENTES – “BLOODOLA” NUEVO EP!
Aquí está el nuevo trabajo de los Gasteiztarras VICE PRESIDENTES. Tras editar su debut “Basque Street Boys”, la banda unió fuerzas con la vocalista SORKUN, creando un album que posteriormente fue grabado en USA y presentado en una extensa gira en directo. El disco, bajo el título “Sorkun & Vice Presidentes” supuso un cambio en el estilo desarrollado por el grupo hasta ese momento, acercandose mas a los sonidos stoner-rock. Esta vez, VICE PRESIDENTES regresa a los argumentos esgrimidos en su primera obra, parinedo este EP de 6 temas.
BLOODOLA es un trabajo especial por diversas razones; por un lado es el primero editado por la banda en vinilo (vinilo rojo de 7 pulgadas, concrétamente). El EP se podrá descargar en formato digital a través del myspace del grupo. Por otro lado, el encargado de la grabación ha sido esta vez DORBU, el propio bajista de VICE PRESIDENTES, grabándolo en el propio local de ensayo. Y como ya hemos dicho, se ha recuperado la identidad de VICE PRESIDENTES: 6 temas en 10 minutos, 6 golpes directos a la cara.
Llama la ateción el tema de apertura, “Jugular Bells”, versión de la afamada “Tubular bells” de Mike Oldfield. Como para asustar a la mismísima niña del Exorcista!!! Otro dato interesante es la utilización de diversos idiomas en la composición de los textos: “Jugular Bells”, “Planck's lenght” y “Ready to spread the disease” son en inglés, “Denak errudun”y “Ezpain josiak” en euskera. Y también encontramos la primera canción escrita en castellano por los Vice, “Hombres de sangre negra” (con la aparación estelar de Oliver, vocalista del grupo Gasteiztarra Bronze).
VICE PRESIDENTES nos demuestran que no han olvidado mezclar el grindcore mas salvaje con el rock'n'roll mas auténtico y de paso, añaden unas gotas de thrash metal con el objetivo de partirnos el cuello. Aquí está BLOODOLA – Preparados para la transfusión!!!

“Malas Temporadas” es el título del nuevo trabajo de Defectos Comunes, editado con el sello Producciones Malditas.
A lo largo de los diez temas que conforman el álbum advertimos un sonido cercano al postcore, salpicado de otras influencias más punk o incluso metal, donde el desencanto y el pesimismo de las letras se combinan con la contundencia vocal e instrumental, pero sin dejar de lado momentos más melódicos: influencias como Nuevenoventaicinco o Berri Txarrak así lo atestiguan. Grabado los últimos días de 2008 de la mano de César Alberdi en un rincón del norte donde la reconversión industrial aún forma parte del paisaje, hallando en él viviendas abandonadas, cementerios de maquinaria obsoleta, polución y una población un tanto retraída, lo que sumado al frío y la lluvia imperantes aquellos días no hicieron sino agudizar la naturaleza de los temas que conforman el disco. Potencia y amargura destilan a partes iguales los diez cortes del cd a lo largo de su escasa media hora, donde Defectos Comunes ofrecen su visión de lo que les rodea, un mundo oxidado y
