In these troubled times, the inhabitants of this planet are filled with pain and fear. Many of us have lost our connection with ourselves, the planet, the universe, and those around us. Through dance, we connect to our spirit self and to the earth. Through song, we connect to each other, becoming instruments in tune and in harmony reaching a new and higher level of consciousness. My intention and purpose is to create and bring forth music – for dance, for harmony, and for spiritual connection.
An artist and a spiritualist, Hennegan contemplates the state of humanity through his music. “Solace Dance,” is Vic Hennegan's third, and latest release. This album is the follow-up to his 2004 dance release "Pure Creative Spirit,” and like his previous albums transcends the rich spiritual vibration that always resonates in his music.
Upon hearing the first track, Join Hands, you will find yourself moving into a state euphoria. Vic Hennegan then leads you right into track 2, Angels Flight, that let’s your mind travels to a dance beyond your physical self. On “Solace Dance,” Vic Hennegan introduces you to his vocal abilities, which are featured on three tracks, Angles Flight, Solace Dance, and One in a Heart. Several guest artists on this album join Vic Hennegan. Vocalist, Juliet Annerino, well know for her sultry torchlight sound, Surface Ten’s Dean De Benedictis – synthesist extraordinaire, and vocalist Becca Fuchs whose incredible vocal range spans from operatic to soulful and sexy.
“Aqua Vista” is Vic Hennegan's fourth release due out the summer of 2008. The album is an exploration of water—its fluid movement, its liquid touch, its undeniable power and its essential healing and invigorating qualities. This release follows his internationally acclaimed ambient album, “Desert God” (2005, Echoes Top 25 List, released on Space for Music Records/Alien Tribes Music).

“Pure Creative Spirit” is Hennegan’s first release, and has received enormous praise worldwide. It is a masterpiece of techno-trance and catchy melodies. “Pure Creative Spirit” is no ordinary LP; with over 50 minutes of six continuously mixed tracks of spellbinding anthems that incorporate ethnic rhythms and beats, “Pure Creative Spirit” will be sure to leave you inspired and enlightened. “We are the creators of our own universe,” states Hennegan.
Hennegan is also a member artist of the Fateless Flow Collective, a unique gathering of ambient musicians that produce a collective compilation of their works every year. Their latest album, “undergrounded,” features Hennegan’s piece, “Linger” featuring Fuchs on vocals. The previous album “Shadowmath,” features Hennegan’s piece, “In a broken heart,” which has been aired globally on radio programs including the syndicated shows “Hearts of Space” and “Echoes.”
“Echoes” features Hennegan’s piece “Soundscape for Echoes” on the release “Refractions: The Echoes Living Room Concerts, Volume 12,” a compilation of internationally renowned electronic musicians such as Andreas Vollenweider and Michael Brook. The Echoes Living Room Concerts are recorded in the homes of EM artists. “Echoes” host, John Diliberto, personally invited Hennegan to participate in this compilation and an accompanying live interview. “Echoes” recently conducted another exclusive interview on NPR with Hennegan to discuss his musical influences and career achievements.
Hennegan is a practicing Buddhist, studying the writings of Nichiren Daishonin, a 13th Century Japanese priest. This faith aims to manifest enlightenment in the lives of its practitioners, which will tap their creative potential as individuals and, in so doing, create thriving and peaceful communities. Through his faith and his music, Hennegan invokes the timeless tradition of music’s healing powers. He believes that, “We are the creators of our own universe. I seek to help people understand this very fact through my music.”
