Formed in a suburban Long Island basement in 1990 by King Conniption and Brian Lindgren. After many gigs, numerous line-up changes, therapy, and the release of a 7" on Wingdisk Records, Brian moved to South Carolina in 1992.
Connip continued on playing various NYC clubs, including CBGBs, and recording cassette only releases before moving to Northern NJ in 1993 and again reforming the band. After recording the "Hostile" sessions at Brooklyn's famed Coyote studios w/ Albert Caiati engineering, (to get that Crypt Records sound) the drummer once again exploded and Connip called it quits and started playing solo as the Lone Monk.
On Nov. 29, 2003 King Conniption managed to get together some former members, who had completed rehab and got their instruments out of the pawn shop, and played a "reunion" show at the Elmwood Park, NJ club the Underpass. I must say, it rocked!!
After moving to Santa Fe, NM in 2005 (for some forgotten reason)
he (I) am now recording "Incantations" w/ Jono Manson producing,
in his studio in the mountains above Santa Fe. It will be mix of poetry/folk/punk- my "oeuvre." Selah.
