My dad is my biggest hero

My life
About me:
For many years I have worked with a large spectrum of special needs children including such cases as autism, aspergers, down syndrome as well as the deaf. I feel I could be of great service to other children in the world and give a hand where it is desperately needed.
I sold most of what I owned and gave away the rest, (boxed a few precious memories), and have put this money toward my travel expences.
Last year I spent 10 months traveling through Central America doing volunteer work. after returning home and working for the summer, I packed my bag and headed to S.E. Asia. I spent six months living and volunteering at the Wat Opot orphanage in Cambodia, with children who have lost there families to aids and who are HIV positve. The Orphanage was on the grounds of a Buhdist Temple. I taught English to the Monks and piano and guitar to the children. I spent four months traveling through Viet Nam, Laos, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and returned to the orphanage in Cambodia for the last month of stay in S.E. Asia.

I have been putting funds aside for the orphanage and buying necesities for the children there. At the moment I am working to raise funds along with a couple of other volunteers, to put in rainwater towers that will supply the orphanage with purified drinking water.
