Vicki hears music that ordinary people do not. Luckily for us, she knows how to share her gift with people of every age. Vicki has taken a musical "quantum leap", changing the way an acoustic guitar makes music, exhibiting a mastery of the acoustic guitar that borders on pure alchemy ? and in fact, audiences can hardly believe she's got only two hands. An almost constant companion to her 'slapping', 'tapping' and use of 25 different guitar tunings, are her pure, expressive vocals that dig deep and stir the soul. Vicki writes and beautifully sings her own brand of music and lyrics while putting her unmistakable imprint on some of our classic 'hits' like the Beatles' Norweigian Wood and Marvin Gaye's What's Going On. As a bonus, Vicki's audiences feel they are part of something special, through her stories, her warmth and her humor.
In the past four years Vicki has been recognized among the world's greatest guitarists and musicians at festivals such as the International Montreal Jazz Festival, Germany's Open Strings Guitar Festival, Italy's Soave Guitar Festival, as well as at venues and Performing Arts Centers across the US. With 3 CDs behind her and multiple awards, Vicki continues to reach beyond musical borders and into new territory, as with her recent acquisitions of the 6 string banjo and 12 string guitar.
A passion for teaching and sharing her inspiration keeps Vicki busy in between performances at clinics and music camps around the globe. Future goals include an instructional DVD, new musical collaborations, more US Festivals and continued European touring. THE NEW CD, 'UNCOVERED' will be out late summer or fall of 2008 - Vicki's second title for the German Label, Acoustic Music Records, and of course you can hear and purchase ALL of Vicki's CDs and tunes at www.cdbaby.com/cd/genfan3
"Whether Genfan is edging into rock or swirling into folk and jazz, this is fiery, living music."

Hi, Vicky!! I will thank you for your comments about my new song, a bossa in French, “Revenir dans ta Vie”. God bless you! www.myspace.com/cristianrosemary
<bR/

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...
Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
