Vicki Hill was born in Los Angeles, California. Her family had homesteaded there in the 1800's. (They have a little museum named after 'em out in Chatsworth). The folks having lost the family farm somewhere along the way, Vicki's father settled on photography as a profession, then pony photograhy. This somehow led them to a horse rental stables in South Central L.A. Vicki divided her time between working for her dad at the stables, and living with her working mom in various small apartments in Hollywood with her sisters and brother.
Longing for wide open western spaces and the quiet and beauty of nature, Vicki left her home(s) and travelled and sailed thousands of miles on the open sea to beautiful locales before returning to her home town to get serious about her music. She then took another side trip and raised a couple of beautiful, accomplished daughters (love!), always keeping the songwriting flame alive.
Hey Vicki, That was fun last night! Throughly enjoyed playing with you and Greg. You sounded great -- love your voice and playing. Glad we had an opportunity to test the water. Talk to you soon, Paul

Hey Vicki, Me and my bassist (Kevin) are hosting and open Mike night at Venice Bistro on Wednesdays 5:30-10pm. It's right on the Venice boardwalk and our 1st one is this Wed April 16th. Why don't you and any other musicians you know come on down(originals or covers)? We have PA, electric piano, acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, and mikes. This is going to be a forum for musicians to network with other local musicians and give/sell cd's. Should be lots of fun. No cover. Contact me if you have any questions.
I called it didn't I? I said I knew we'd get a chance to play and sing together and there you have it..it happened without either one of us trying to make it happen. You sounded great! I look forward to the next time.
