Vicki Lewis Thompson's Interests
General
I’m fascinated by animals, especially cats. I loathe grocery shopping, am not much of a cook, but love to eat. I’m learning about wine and have an obsession for beautiful glassware. I dabble in tarot and want to become more proficient. When I work I need solitude but when I play I love getting together with my friends. Given a choice, I’d much rather read than watch TV. And movies are best seen at a theater, IMO.
Music
My music tastes are eclectic – soft rock, classical, new age, even some hip-hop!
Movies
I prefer my movies to have happy endings, and comedies are my favorites.
Heroes
My heroes are people who give their time and money to make the world a better place and those who treasure the planet.
Welcome to my MySpace page! I'm a NYT bestselling author of more than ninety books who believes love makes the world go around and laughter makes the trip worth taking. I pioneered a new kind of romance hero with Nerd in Shining Armor, Kelly Ripa’s book club pick in 2003. This book was the beginning for my popular Nerd Series, in which the geek finally gets the girl.
In 2007, I launched a boisterous paranormal series featuring the unmagical town of Big Knob, Indiana, which also happens to be home to a matchmaking witch and wizard and an ADD dragon. But never fear! Nerds rule in Big Knob, too. Thanks for stopping by!
Check out my website at VickiLewisThompson.com for news on my WIP, a list of my upcoming events, and to enter my monthly contests for autographed books and other goodies.
Join me and my fellow Soapbox Queens Rhonda Nelson and Jennifer LaBrecque for a royal blogging. We have thrones and crowns aplenty!

Nerdy computer whiz Jeremy Dunstan has wanted Annie Winston since high school, but back then, he lacked the courage to woo her. Now fate has given him a second chance; Annie is returning to Big Knob for her younger sister's wedding, and Jeremy's the best man. Unfortunately, coming face to face with the woman of his dreams still has the power to turn his genius brain to mush. Perhaps what he really needs is a touch of magic.
Banished. Until their unconventional techniques landed them in hot water, Dorcas and Ambrose were the matchmaking sex therapists for lovelorn witches and wizards. The Grand High Wizard has exiled them to the very conventional and unmagical town of Big Knob, Indiana, Pop. 947. But that doesn’t mean they’ve given up matchmaking…
Now they’re doing it for mere mortals—although all agree: Sean Madigan is something of a god. Because he’s tired of being the town sex object, Dorcas and Ambrose strip him of his appeal and then introduce him to his destiny, Maggie Grady. This time winning a girl’s heart won’t be so easy for Sean. It means rediscovering the charms buried beneath a gorgeous surface.
Hey! Sorry I'm a little late but Doug and I LOVED the book!!! I built Doug a pond now so he's on the floor in the living room, I guess I'll just have to read out loud to him now!

Bought the book on Wednesday, finished it on Thursday, and I LOVED IT!!! I can't wait to read Gwen's story, and if the sneak-peak hadn't been there, her story would have been my suggestion. =P Keep it up, Emma
