I am married (13 years)to my high school sweetheart and have 2 beautiful, energetic children, Samantha, 8 and Cory, 4. I work overnights at a residential treatment center for juvenile sex offenders. My husband days so one of us can be with the kids all the time. I am one of the biggest softies you will ever know. I get this from my dad. It doesn't take much to make me cry: movies, songs, commercials, looking at my kids, etc. It is my husband's favorite thing about me and my daughter's least favorite. She refuses to watch anything with me that might make me cry. The sad thing is she is just like me. I like people who make me laugh otherwise I tend to be too serious. This is what drew me to my husband-silly, juvenile humor. It keeps me from stressing out too much. My kids have both inherited this sense of humor. I have a tremendous amount of faith that everything will always work out in the end. I have been through a lot of trying situations and God always gets me through them. I was an extremely shy kid and didn't break out of my shell until I started my job as a youth counselor. Those kids don't give you the option of being shy. I credit college with helping me grow up a lot. I grew up in a town of 1000 people and was the baby of the family. The first year away from home was a huge challenge. I wouldn't be the person I am today without that experience. I have a BA in Psych. and a minor in Religion. I adore Blake Lewis! He is such an amazing musician and has so much passion for what he does. He is also adorable and has a great sense of humor. I haven't felt this way about anyone since I was 12 and my walls were covered with posters of Simon LeBon.
Who I'd like to meet: Blake Lewis, Duran Duran, Leonardo DiCaprio
Does that mean I should buy the magazine? Famous huh? I hope he doesn't get a swelled head. Actually I saw him tonight for about 15 minutes. Thanks for the info Vicki, Hugs, D
I'm going to two concerts. Aug 20th and Sept 8th. I am soo stoked. I can't wait to see Adam again "LIVE' I went to the AI6 concert to see Blake but I was to far away so I've learned my lesson. Sept 8th, I'll be in the 3rd row. I'll die when he does his gyrations. He looks unbelievable. If you hear an old lady drowning out the singing you'll know its me.
Vicki, I hope you are well. I wanted to stop by to tell you that I opened a twitter account (TweetPlaid) so we can continue what we did on TeamPlaid. It does not look like they will maintain it. If you have twitter, come and join. There will be plenty to talk about B. Kasia
Again, checking out last nights performances. Adam is even better. What moves. Can you believe it? I'm gonna need bifocals because I'm going blind looking so closely! he
Back from vacation. I'm catching up. Looking at Adam's Vid's..He is unbelieveable....I'm in lust..CAN't WAIT to see him LIVE...move over kids, mama gonna head to front row and scream!
Actually we didn't go to the water park it got too late, but I still had a good birthday anyways. Did yall enjoy my parents visiting? I heard yall had some fun. My mom was glad to have seen everyone, it had been a while since she had seen yall. She had a fun visit she said.
And compliance with rules. The worst punishment for my children that might happen is, if I even mention that I might need to have a small talk with their instructor about their behavior. :)
Hi Vicki, That sounds like my summer. :) I might go with kids and my few friends to local places and maybe we will go to Washington DC or Baltimore. We have pets at home, so long trips right now are out of question. There is also always lots to do in our yard, which I actually like but never have time to do.
How interesting, my kids go to swimming and TaeKwonDo. My son has green belt and my daughter has a green stripe. They love their instructor. I guess those are popular things. LOL. Do you children like those activities?
Okay I know you also like Adam from AI8. Are you going to a concert? I'm going to two! I can&#t wait! I know its probably harder for you to get out with the two young kids. Also can'at wait to see Allison and hear "slow Ride" duet. ITs going to be fun and I'm wearing GLITTER!
That was from a birthday party she attended. Inside rollerskating. I almost felt like doing it with her. LOL Nice to hear from you. :) I am good. Can you believe that our kids will be out of school in about a week. Where did the year go? How are things with you. Any plans for fun activities during summer?
Sounds like a nice prelude to spring. I think today is the official beginning of spring. :) I know, I cannot believe that only 2 more months and kids are off school. I have nothing planned yet.
We are planning to see KJ this weekend, if I get pics, I will post them. I am looking forward to hear him play again.

What movie did you take the kids to? I finally had a chance to see Nardia on TV...that was good but cried when the lion's hair was cut. I really thought he was gone. Loved the animation thou.
