    Vicky Mountain has been a mainstay of the Twin Cities music scene since the mid-70s. Her performances in many musical genres include shows with jazz, swing and big bands as well as R&B, Top 40, avant garde and free jazz. She has performed regularly with her own trio/quartet as well as the Lakewood Jazz Ensemble (big band - in the 90s) and the BelaGala Big Band. She's performed at the Dakota, Sophia, the Times, Rossi's, Dakota Cty. Music Cafe, Blue Nile, Terlizzos, Woodfire Grill, Cafe Luxe, the Dover, Night Train, Triangle Bar, Rainbow Gallery (if you recognize some of those names you know how long she's been singing in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.) She's also performed in Uruguay and Paraguay with the Lakewood Band and in Winnipeg with Dick King and the Classic Swing Band. Vicky is a teacher of jazz and pop voice at MacPhail Center for Music where she is also the head of the voice department. She teaches private lessons and classes such as "The Singer's Jam Session" and "Recording Workshop for the Popular Singer." For more info check out www.macphail.org. Vicky also offers various business leadership workshops inviting business people to learn from the communication skills used by Jazz musicians. These highly interactive workshops have been great team building events for businesses such as General Mills, Deluxe Crop. and Carlson Marketing to name a few.
