What are the chances that your Top 16 list would start and end with two "Leila's". It's hard enough to just find one Leila!

I was honestly moved by the trailer for The Killing Seasons. I felt the level of suspense rise and was overtaken by a feeling of nostalgia when the music died and I realized this was not just an attempt at action, but was representative of the cyclicality and underlying problems with the culture of violence that we have cultivated in this world. The style of this film was beautiful, with the naked realism and sensibility of some of the great war epics of the past. The director is clearly a student of film, and someone who has a perspective beyond the latest music video slickness that you expect to find on the internet.

“The Killing Seasons” trailer: Really cool trailer, and very nice visuals. The connection between the baby and the present-day soldier really threw me...a nice, surprising element that adds a layer to everything. Now I really want to see the entire film. And it’s always nice to see something from a woman of color director. The most annoying thing about "Project Greenlight" was its stunning lack of diversity, and hopefully "On the Lot" will be different. They couldn't go wrong by letting you on the show.
