Vic Levak is a Vancouver based music producer and composer. Vic learned the guitar at an early age and has been playing music most of his life. He started in the business performing and touring across Canada with various bands.
In the mid 90s his exploration into writing and recording led to building his own recording facility called Hush Sound. Producing many local artists, Levak, created quite a name for himself in the Vancouver market and came to the attention of LA based composer Garrett Schwartz. In 1999 he began collaborating with Schwartz on a project called Balligomingo, lending his talents by co-producing, writing and playing on the album.
Rapidly Balligomingo's sound became undeniable and within a year the project secured a worldwide record deal with BMG/Sony (New York). Following the release of the 2002 Beneath the Surface recording, BMG/Sony earmarked and launched a Levak-Quine composition called Purify as the first single. Within months, Purify blasted to number 3 on the Billboard Breakout Club Charts and number 4 on the UK Dance Charts. Having sold over 100 000 units, Vic is currently collaborating on the follow up Balligomingo CD.
Vic has worked with such artists as Delerium, Sleepthief, Mike Reno (of Loverboy), Damn The Diva, Jody Quine, Kristy Thirsk, and actress/singer Jacqui Mckenzie (The 4400-USA Network).
He has been on numerous compilations along side of Moby, Enigma, Sarah McLachlan, Peter Gabriel and Eva Cassidy.
Film and TV credits include the movie 'Cursed' by (Wes Craven), Lucia Lucia (Fox), Human Cargo (Alliance/Sony), The 4400 (USA Network) and Queer As Folk (Showtime). He has composed for Fashion Week (New York 2001-2006) with Ralph Lauren Polo, Lexus and Mercedes Benz.

Good morning, Your work with Jac is spectacular. I can't wait to see what else you guys put together!! Also, I just listened to Shine. That has the most summer-breeze-y smoothness!! I closed my eyes & was home again, laying on my surfboard out in the Gulf. Being that my husband & I are currently living (i.e. stuck) in Utah due to employment..I really needed that. :-) Thank you!
