Computers, Music, Reading. Occasionally I write songs and short stories (but the less said about that the better). Movies (either arty or geeky), books, making zombies, fitness, Photoshop, cooking, coffee, mixology, far out left wing conspiracy theories (where would we be without them). A follower of Nabu the Wise and the current possessor of the Amulet of Anubis.
I read a lot. science fiction, science fact, and religion are my favorite subjects. I'm not religious, but I enjoy reading about it. Right now I quit often read 2 or three books at the same time and just switch between them. Now I'm reading Mapping the Mind by Rita Carter, Abducted: How People Come To Believe They Where Abducted By Aliens by Susan Clancy, and Extinct Humans by Ian Tattersall. I love the Dune series (original), The Lord of the Rings, Neil Gaiman (novels and his Sandman comics), Robert J Sawyer, Stephen King, Peter Straub, Arthur C Clarke, Dan Simmons,.
About me:
Well, let's see, about me ... my blood pressure is 108/74. My resting heart rate is 50bpm. My LDL is 53, my HDL is 72. My triglyceride level is 87mg/dl. I weigh 150 pounds with 8.3% body fat. I'm 5'9" when standing. Well, that's all the important stuff. What else ... I'm a Technician by trade, I go to the gym a couple times a week. Movie buff, music snob. I play guitar in my spare time. Do a bit of recording on my pc. I occasionally fiddle around with writing fiction. Someday I might even finish a few stories. I like to drink martinis while watching cartoons.
I'm good at conversation, but I'm bad at small talk (the how's the weather type of stuff that people use to comunicate on a day to day basis). I have a propensity to ask people about their religion and their belief in aliens/conspiracey theories. People tend to take offense at this, but they both fascinate me. I love ancient cultures and adore technology. If finding a job wasn't a concern, I would have majored in Paleo-Anthropology. But it was, so I went into engineering instead.
I love cooking/eating, but not baking (I don't like to touch dough-ewww). Eating is, actually, a bit of an obsession with me; I do it almost every day. I Love sushi. If there was a place to get sushi close to me, I would weight 500 pounds.
I own a house, so that, unfortunately, is a hobby unto itself. There is a certain Zen in cleaning the gutters and raking the leaves. Oh, and there's a creepy old man that lives on my street. He gives me the willies. He got mad at me and called me a Communist once. I think he intended it to be an insult, but I was secretly overjoyed at the comment.
I consider myself a lesbian ... trapped in a man's body.
I really don't have much real "direction" in life ... but, I try to steer clear of meth ... come on, have you seen what goes into that people?!
When the Rapture comes, I have volunteered to clear the streets of abandoned cars. Why not, I ain't going anywhere.
P.S., myspace doesn't like comments in their code. Fucking Bastards.
Hey man, how goes it? Haven't seen you on here for a long time. We have a myspace Dr. Gus page up now, so check it out and request to be my friend if you want.
