Victor Barnes, of Northern Colorado, has been wearing out shoes on dance floors from Seattle to New Orleans with their original style of bluegrass-infused music since 1999. When they're not playing with national acts like Yonder Mountain String Band, The North Mississippi All-Stars and Railroad Earth at venues across the west, Victor Barnes can be found serving the needs of their loyal fan-base at venues throughout the Colorado Front Range.
Victor Barnes success has resulted in the production of their first full
length CD,
Bad Weather, released in early 2006.
Victor Barnes is currently in the studio recording their second album, to released in late may.
Hi Ken! Hope all's well in Colorado! I miss it like crazy! I miss the Car bombs and Victor Barnes music in the background as well!!!! Hahahaha! Take Care! Heather
Hey Ken! I miss you and Maggie so much! I feel awkward calling you, since I haven't in so long. But I will probably do it anyway sometime soon; it's been waaaaay too long since I've talked to you. I miss our luncheons at Fish, followed by "dessert." ;-) I hope sushie at the Vault has caught on and I hope Victor Barnes is doing great!!! I wasn't able to swing it this year, financially, but next year I hope to make a trip back to The Fort for a visit. I'd still love to travel with the bad sometime as a roadie, or t-shirt sales-woman, or whatever is needed. Some things have happened to me this year that have changed my life's perspective tremendously. Hope you get this message. I miss you so much! Cheers, Lauren Thomas
Musicians are like the toes of a great artist. Your toenails are your paints, the shoe is your canvas. Socks are the brushes that convert your feet into a masterpiece of reality. ***
I just wanted to let you know, in case you didn't know, we have moved to Los Angeles. We lost our singer and bass player, and gained a new bass player along with a second guitar player. We are beginning to rehearse heavily and are getting ready to start playing gigs again! Maybe sometime in the summer (or even sooner) we could meet up again and play some shows together. That would be very nice. Also, I wanted to let you know that I wear the Victor Barnes long sleeved shirt all the time now that the temperatures have been dropping! Anyways, look forward to jammin with yal again, it was a fun night.
