Victor Cruz was born in Portsmouth, VA. A month later he moved to the South Bronx in New York City where his parents were originally from. At the age of eleven Victor dreamed of one day becoming a great actor. He had a great love of films and since he was an only child for awhile, the television set and the big silver screen were his number one brothers and sisters.
Victor Cruz attended Talent Unlimited High School, where he majored in Art and Musical Theater. Cartooning was also another one of his great loves, and being such a huge fan of Disney Cartoons and Mike Judge, the creator of Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill, he one day dreamed of creating an animated cartoon where he would play all of the voices.
At the age of sixteen, Victor made his stand-up comedy debut at the famous Boston Comedy Club in the west village in New York City. From then on he continued doing comedy, making people laugh from all over. From colleges to clubs to corporate events. Victor has played in venues such as CAROLINES, THE LAUGH FACTORY, COMIC STRIP LIVE, BOSTON COMEDY CLUB and many more around the country.
Victor later attended the acting conservatory at SUNY PURCHASE COLLEGE, home of some of the greats like STAN TUCCI, EDIE FALCO, and MALCOLM GOODWIN, where he recieved his BFA in Acting.
The day before graduation from the acting program, Victor landed his first major TV appearance on HBO's THE SOPRANOS. From there he went off to do numerous commercials, TV appearances on LAW & ORDER, CONVICTION, THE BLACK DONNELLY'S, SiTV's LATINO LAUGH FESTIVAL, and hosted LTV's late hilarious latino comedy variety show LLEGAMOS! (means WE HAVE ARRIVED).
Victor Cruz developed his own comapny called PALANTE PRODUCTIONS LLC. He wanted to develop his own projects creating opportunities for himself that sometimes are not always available for actors, especially breaking in to this industry. Victor teamed up with the IMAGINENATION FILM CO. and created a sketch comedy show on DVD called THE VICTOR CRUZ SHOW VOLUME 1: WHO IS VICTOR CRUZ. It has received great acclaim from many. The New York DAILY NEWS says "VICTOR CRUZ IS HILARIOUS!"
Victor presently works on new sketches for THE VICTOR CRUZ SHOW VOLUME 2.
