Professional guitarist and composer, Victor E. Hodge’s versatility, creativity, undeniable talent and strong passion for modern day jazz has been the driving forces that have paved his way to a never ending road of musical success. His vibrant live performances illustrate his intense admiration for his craft, while his unique fusion of fanatical, guitar-driven music signifies that he is very well versed in many musical genres.
Victor, a native of the beautiful and breathtaking Caribbean Island, Curacao, began his musical journey in the church. Being the son of a minister, Victor’s musical instillation was deeply rooted in gospel music. However, the self-taught guitarist’s fascination and love for music, (which was profoundly influenced by legendary jazz musicians such as Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Kenny Burrell and all time favorite George Benson), grew exceedingly, which inspired Victor to branch out on his own and relocate to New York to carefully expand his talents.
Victor consistently shared his talents by performing alongside a variety of diverse instrumentalists, as well as nationally acclaimed artists, which include but is not limited to, the early 70’s R&B group, “The Persuaders”, (known for their chart topping classic, “Thin Line Between Love & Hate”). The Persuaders, impressed by his musicianship and style, hired Victor as a guitarist, which gave him the “big break” that he needed to launch his music career.
When traveling on the road, he is the musical director for the Theodis Ealey Band, When he is not on the road, you can catch Victor’s live performances in Atlanta, GA performing alongside his own “self titled” band. Victor's highly anticipated debut CD entitled “Reasons To Believe” scheduled to be released spring 2008 is currently receiving rave reviews from his peers. Combining a variety of different flavors to appease your musical taste buds, Victor’s debut CD will give you all the more reason to believe that Victor E. Hodge will be around for a very long time!

Victor "The Hodge" Vic, man I cant express how blessed I am to have a brother like you in my corner. Thanking you for all the work you did on my "I'm Still Here" CD would be a diservice to you therefore I can only thank God for blessing you with the talent that made this project such a success. We knew then that I'm Still Here was special when we were working on it but never did I think it would be selected on so many playlist as one of the top CD's of 2009. Brother you are the man. Hi Victor, happy new year. Well, I love George Benson so much , but I still need to be faithful to my own style. At the end of the day, we should all end up doing our own thing.
