Víctor Estrada tiene estudios de guitarra clásica, solfeo, armonía y demás asignaturas teóricas cursadas en el conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona (España). En los años 80 fundó el grupo de rock sinfónico "Erin", y desde entonces ha tocado, grabado y colaborado con numerosos músicos y grupos, a destacar la veterana formación de rock sinfónico Amarok y varios conjuntos de música electrónica, clásica y folk. Como compositor tiene numerosas obras estrenadas y dos discos publicados "Lo divino en lo grosero" (2001) y "Continuo despertar" (2003).
Gracias al cine de ciencia ficción de los años 50 conoció el sonido del theremin (sin saber en su momento ni como era ni como se llamaba ese instrumento). No fue hasta recientemente (2004), en la era de internet, que pudo descubrir el mundo que envuelve este instrumento y contactar con reputados thereministas. Ha tenido ocasión de recibir clases directamente de las grandes virtuosas Lydia Kavina y la Neoyorkina Pamelia Kurstin además de los impagables consejos del gran thereminista Canadiense Peter Pringle. Es el creador de la primera página en castellano dedicada a la promoción del theremin "Guía de introducción al theremin" y colaborador habitual del importante portal thereminista "Theremin Hispano". También a escrito varios artículos sobre el tema en revistas musicales y blogs, y presentado varias veces el instrumento en radio y televisión. Ha interpretado el theremin en el auditorio de Barcelona junto a la orquesta OBC y también a colaborado con los cantantes "Coshida" y "El hermano del Vila", los grupos "Amarok", "Parthenon", "Acthe", etc. y en diferentes obras de teatro y colaboraciones discográficas. También grabó theremin para la banda sonora de la película española "El barón contra los demonios" (Ricardo Ribelles, 2007). Actualmente tiene su propia formación con el theremin de protagonista llamada "Cos Elèctric". Durante los últimos 20 años se ha dedicado a la pedagogía musical, cosa que ha aprovechado para recapitular las diferentes técnicas thereministas y crear un método racional de trabajo que hasta ahora prácticamente no existía.

Víctor Estrada studied classical guitar, music theory and harmony in the Conservatorio del Liceo of Barcelona, Spain.
In the eighties he founded the symphonic rock group Erin, and from that moment on he has performed and recorded with many musical groups deserving special mention his collaboration with the celebrated symphonic rock group Amarok.
As a composer, he had premiered a lot of works and published two albums Lo divino en lo grosero (2001) and Continuo despertar (2003).
Victor knew about the theremin thanks to the science fiction movies of the fifties (without realizing how was or what was the name of that instrument)
but it wasn't until 2004, in the interner era, when he could find out the world of this instrument and get in touch with some of the most acclaimed instrumentalists.
He has received classes from the great virtuosi Lydia Kavina and Pamela Kurstin and invaluable advices from the great canadian theremin player Peter Pringle.
He has created the first spanish publication dedicated to the divulgation of the theremin called Guía de introducción al theremin and is a regular contributor of Theremin Hispano (an important theremin web page).
He has written about the theremin in musical reviews and blogs and he has introduced it in radio and television.
He has played the theremin with the OBC orquestra in the Auditorio of Barcelona and with the singers "Coshida" and "El hermano de la vila", the groups "Amarok", "Parthenon" and "Acthe". He has also played in different plays and in many recording collaborations.
He has requested a collaboration playing the theremin for the soundtrack to the spanish movie El barón contras los demonios from Ricardo Ribelles (2007)
At the present he has his own group with the theremin called Cos eléctric.
He has been teaching in the last 20 years and has created a reasonable method to study the theremin which was unexisting at this moment.

Hola Victor.. Estou escrevendo um artigo sobre o Theremin, e aqui no Brasil não temos tanto material disponivel sobre ele.Estou estudando pelo método da Clara Rockmore.
