Victoria and Georgia Minnear are seventeen year-old twins from Oxfordshire. They are singer-songwriters. In 2005 they released a Christmas song called ‘Alone this Christmas’ under the name of ‘Flip and Kip’ which reached number 2 in the local charts just before Christmas. They also created an animated video that went with the song which can be found on their ’MySpace’ or on the BBC website.
They have performed at a number of places including the Banbury Christmas light switch-on in 2005, the Barford Music Festival, and ‘The Stables’ in Milton Keynes. They have also done performances at the John Radcliffe Hospital and other charitable events such as the Counter Culture festival at the Mill, Banbury in 2007. They have also appeared on TV and local radio.
They enjoy writing songs and have written over 50 so far. The songs are quite emotional and moving. They only use their two voices and a keyboard, which is one of the unique features about their music.
