   About Victoria Axelrod
Thank you for visiting my Myspace page. I'm a local musician and I host open mics and open jams at various bars in Raleigh on weekends. I'm a proud mother of two beautiful teenage daughters ages 14 and 16. I love my kids, I love all types of music, and I love meeting all kinds of people. I used to play music full-time for a living, but quit for one reason or another. I've learned that music is a hard habit to quit. So I'm back at it again, part-time. It's been a crazy road and I wouldn't trade any of it for anything. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have crossed paths with so many wonderful people through the years and I look forward to many more to come.

I'm here to promote my shows, to re-connect with old friends, make new friends, and have fun! I can't remember where I read it or who said this, but life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes. So I choose to be happy, think good thoughts, and to enjoy life, NOW, before the toilet paper runs out. hahaha! Yup, that's what I'm gonna do. This Friday we're having a Halloween Party at my open mic at Marcom's Lounge! Stop by if you can! I can't decide if I'm gonna be a zombie or a vampire or maybe a zombie vampire. haha. I don't know yet.  Wear a costume too ok? If not no problem!
Here are the directions if you're coming from Millbrooke from the Glenwood Avenue area.

- Keep going straight on Millbrooke,
- Pass Falls Of Neuse
- Pass the school on the right
- Pass Old Wake Forest Rd
- Pass Merchant's Tire on the right
- Right at the next street Lacy Avenue & you'll see Marcom's on the left right corner.
- If you reach Atlantic Avenue you've gone too far!
- Marcom's is off of Millbrooke between Old Wake Forest Rd and Atlantic Ave
- If you can't find parking in the front, go to the back. Plenty of parking there.

Hey Victoria!  How are you?  I was wondering if you were having any open mics tomorrow night?  I'm playing a show at the Berkeley Cafe on Oct 15th (next Thurs) you should come check it out.  It's just me and another acoustic guitar player and we're only playing a 30 minute set, but it will be pretty cool.  My first show!

There'll be a drum kit there. Just bring your instruments and amps.

As always, we welcome bands, solos, duos, electric, acoustic. You can do your own thing or jam with me or we can jam with other musicians. Whatever you feel comfortable with. All types of music, covers or originals are ALL WELCOME. I hope to see you there! Starts at 9pm!

Hello! A lot of you are asking what happened and why I'm quitting the Thursdays open mic at Marcom's Lounge.  The reason is because I got a new day job and I don't want to have to go in to work Friday mornings all tired from the night before. That's all.  So I have moved the Marcom's open mics to Fridays. Thanks to Kat at Marcom's Lounge for being so cool and flexible with the schedule!
