It is full of those "small moments" that bring back a memory, make you laugh, or even bring a tear to your eye. Victoria is an artist, and like the finest works of art, her songs continually reveal new subtleties on repeated listening. She reveals herself to be a gifted singer-songwriter,with a voice that serves her songs well." Reviewer: John Rose, host of the weekly internet music program .."Hidden Treasures" on UIC Radio/................................. ......"Front and center is Fuller’s voice, which caresses each melody like a wrapper on candy. She manages to evoke Joni Mitchell without sounding like Mitchell, or Rickie Lee Jones without mimicking Jones. Her supple voice moves quickly and easily through a range of styles including jazz, folk and rock, often in the same song, sometimes in the same chorus. The title track exemplifies this. Lyrically, the fully arranged “Why We Can’t Agree” manages to reconcile pathos and playfulness in a very disarming and surprising way." Reviewer- BRUCE MENIN, Indie - InTune, Small Moments CD Review, August 18th 2007, Vol 3- No. 8 ......... Victoria Fuller is both a singer/songwriter and an accomplished ....sculptor/painter.... who has exhibited her work at the Chicago Cultural Center, at the Navy Pier large-scale outdoor sculpture show, and extensively throughout the United States.. Her sound is Folk Rock Pop with a jazz blues edge, with a voice that's a cross between Joni Mitchell & Ricky Lee Jones. Her songs tell stories of love lost and found, overcoming struggles, and finding the good in life. A self-taught guitar player, Victoria began writing songs at age 13. In search of knowledge and adventure she traveled to different places in the world before moving to Chicago to get a degree in art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she eventually put down roots. She has won a number of honors from song contests including Billboard, We Are Listening, and Unisong. ......Radio airplay: WZRD Chicago 88.3 (Northeastern Illinois University), WXRT, 93.1 FM Chicago, Chicago's "Local Anesthetic show", UIC Radio Chicago "Hidden Treasures Show", Songwriter's Network, and WGN Radio. ........(Victoria working on sculpture) .. .. .. .. -
