Victoria Gutiérrez es una cantante, guitarrista y compositora uruguaya. Estudió guitarra en Montevideo con Guzmán Escardó, en Nueva York con Bryce Dessner, Joe Bell, Marcelo Domínguez y Gustavo Reina. También en EEUU estudió canto con Dana Hanchard y saxo en el Boys Harbor Conservatory. En este país participó de diversos proyectos: "La Maquinación de la simuladora" (poesía y música), "Raíces, cultura latina" (danza, música y poesía), "Song for the city" entre otros, y actuó como solista en locales de Queens, Brooklyn y Manhattan. En el 2006 volvió a Uruguay. Además de actuar junto a otros compositores locales, al año siguiente grabó su primer disco. Este trabajo fue arreglado, grabado y masterizado por Oscar Pessano e Ignacio López. Participaron María José Aguiar (marimba), Luis Gutiérrez (percusión), Federico Righi (bajo y contrabajo), y Viviana Ruíz y Nicolás Guazzone (voces invitadas). A partir de 2008 se integró a la murga Cero Bola, y también nació su actual grupo "Extremo solar", trío integrado por Victoria Gutiérrez en composición, arreglos, voz y guitarra, Diego Cáceres en bajo, arreglos y producción, y Nicolás Arnicho en percusión y arreglos.

Victoria Gutiérrez is a singer, guitarist and composer from Uruguay. She studied guitar in Montevideo with Guzmán Escardó, and in New York with Bryce Dessner, Joe Bell, Marcelo Domínguez and Gustavo Reina. Also in USA she studied vocals with Dana Hanchard and sax at the Boys Harbor Conservatory. At this country she took part of different projects: "La Maquinación de la simuladora" (music & poetry), "Raíces, cultura latina" (dance, music & poetry), "Song for the city", among others. She also giged as a soloist at Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. In 2006 she came back to Uruguay. There she played with many local composers and in 2007 she recorded her first solo album. It was arranged, recorded and mastered by Oscar Pessano and Ignacio López. The band for these recordings were María José Aguiar (marimba), Luis Gutiérrez (percussion), Federico Righi (electric bass and upright), and Viviana Ruíz & Nicolás Guazzone (guest vocals). In 2008 she started to sing with the murga Cero Bola, and her actual project was borned. It is called "Extremo Solar", a trio featuring Victoria Gutiérrez (composer, arranger, guitar and vocals), Diego Cáceres (bass, arranger and producer) and Nicolás Arnicho (percussion and arrangements).
