I've always been told that I have a voice that is recognizable and audible, even when singing in a large group or over an orchestra. I have always tried to be myself and do what I can to always keep learning and training to make the best of what I believe God has graciously allowed me to have. I only hope that I can honor Him in my own way and hopefully bless and inspire others through the power of music and positive words.
Greetings! My name is Victoria Gydov and I was originally born in Denmark and immigrated to the US with my brother and parents in 1982. I began singing in church and school at the age of seven, and although I have performed many different styles of music throughout my life, I have largely focused on studying and performing opera, operetta, oratorio/orchestral and musical theater music. I have studied voice and opera since 1994 in the US, Denmark, and Canada.
Here is my recording of "Four Last Songs" by Richard Strauss, that I performed with The Lake Union Civic Orchestra in Seattle, WA. I am currently working on recording a CD compiled of "popera" crossover songs and opera arias which I will add to this site when it is completed.
Follow your instincts, your heart, and most of all, your dreams.

Hey Victoria! Thanks so much for the positive comments on my myspace page! I appreciate your kind words. I am really excited about releasing my first album in a few short weeks! Take care and keep singing girl, you got pipes!!
I enjoyed your song Victoria! Man, you got pipes, girl! I absolutely loved the harmomies in your song "My Time Is Here." It is very uplifting, great tempo, and I like the way that it could be tailored to a club song or reworked into a pop/country song. Great job and good luck!! Thanks for the add and your kind words on my myspace page!!! - Dana
Victoria, Many thanks for the birthday wishes. I did enjoy spending it with friends and family. Also, I enjoyed your song, great vocals. Good luck in the contest and in all your musical endeavors. Gino
Nice song Victoria! I was thinking about doing an upbeat song very danceable, but there wasn't enough time. I hope you at least open there ears to the idea of an upbeat dance song. Sure does help celebrate the moment. Thanks for the comments.
Hi Victoria - thanks for the compliments! Yes, it's me singing on "Shining Star". I uploaded some of my old stuff this morning but will replace with new stuff as it unfolds. Enjoyed listening to your stuff too!
Thanks for your kind words. We can only wait and hope for "the call". If it doesn't happen, it won't stop me from submitting my songs to record companies/artists/producers. I'll give your song a listen and get back to you... John
