Victoria Racimo has an extensive career in the entertainment industry as producer, writer, director and actress. She is currently Founder and Producing Artistic Director of Palomino Entertainment Group, (PEG), a multi-faceted management and production company in music, dance, theatre and film. PEG has a history of experience in the entertainment and performing arts and is known for its personalized, detailed attention in handling all aspects of an artist's and project’s needs.
Palomino Entertainment Group currently represents acclaimed Chinese pianist, Xiayin Wang, the "The Darling Divas" starring soprano Tonna Miller and mezzo Jennifer Hines and the young film making team of Jaime and Tony Valles, whose first film, “Casi Casi”, PEG sold to HBO.
PEG produced the Carnegie Hall debut of Xiayin Wang, with the City Symphony, conducted by George Manahan, Music Director of the New York City Opera. The success of this concert prompted the twelve-city "Xiayin Wang in Concert" tour produced and managed by Palomino.
PEG created the theatrical production, “The Darling Divas”, teaming soprano Tonna Miller and mezzo Jennifer Hines. These exceptional artists take musical stories of life and love out of large opera houses and put them in smaller, more intimate venues – creating a “user-friendly” atmosphere.
Palomino was hired to produce and Victoria was commissioned to write and direct “Journey of Destiny”, a Signature Event in America’s 400th Anniversary at Jamestown, 2007.
Victoria currently manages the development and production of all film projects for the Valles brothers. Victoria was Exec. Producer of their award-winning film “Casi Casi”, which she sold to HBO. It began airing on HBO in October, ’07 and was released on HBO DVD in May, ‘07. This is only the second time in HBO’s history that it has bought a Spanish language foreign film for release on DVD and broadcast. (The other film was HBO’s “Maria Full of Grace”.) “Casi Casi” began its U.S. Theatrical Release Premier run October 2 at the Kimball Theatre in Williamsburg, VA.
Victoria wrote two animation television specials: “A Toucan Can” starring Jason Alexander and Donna Summer and “Pirate Jack and the Legend of Halloween” starring Alice Cooper. As Producer, she developed and sold to NBC the teleplay “Significant Others” and was Producer/Co-Writer of the original story “Sgt. Reckless” which was put into development at Columbia Pictures as a feature.
As a director, she has helmed productions at regional theatres around the country including the New Jersey Rep, the Yale Cabaret, the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts in Los Angeles, Circle Repertory in New York and the Kumu Kahua Theatre in Honolulu, among others.
Her career as actress includes: starring in John Frankenheimer’s “Prophecy” for Paramount, opposite Charlton Heston in Columbia’s “The Mountain Men”, Disney’s “Ernest Goes to Camp”, two Peabody Award and Humanitas Award winning dramas on television and the acclaimed PBS American Playhouse mini-series, “Roanoke”. Her body of work also includes starring roles in 14 films, 3 mini-series and 31 television shows and was a series regular on CBS in “The Chisolms” and in “Falcon Crest” on NBC.
Victoria was a Founding Board Member of Asian Artists and Concerts, Inc. and briefly served as its Acting President. AAC is a non-profit organization devoted to help young Asian and Asian-American students transition into the professional musical world. She created and supervised the “Harlem Music Program” for underprivileged and abused children in NYC day care centers. Due to its wide success, L.A. County, CA recruited Victoria to institute a similar program in East L.A.
Victoria attended Columbia University and graduated from the Preparatory School pre-college program at the Juilliard School of Music majoring in piano. She also studied ballet at Balanchine’s School of American Ballet.
In 2007, she and Phil Goldfarb embarked on developing an opera based on “On the Waterfront”. They obtained the rights from Mr. Schulberg and have put together a dream creative team.
