Fasten your seatbelt – this is no sissy ride!
Victoria Schafer brings to the table a raw and powerful voice that blends pure
country with a dollop of blues and a dash of rock. Toss in a dynamic,
“all-eyes-on-her” stage presence and this Montana native serves up one hot recipe
for unparalleled success.
Victoria hails from creative roots. Her father was a singer as well as a cattle
rancher, and Mom is a fine artist whose work is displayed in galleries around the
Pacific Northwest . Her childhood dreams were quite evident to her family who
remember her ‘hairbrush and yarn’ microphone. She sang anytime...anywhere. She
surprised her family and the whole town when, as a naturally shy six-year-old
country girl, she stepped on stage at her school’s Christmas program and sang a
‘jaw dropping’ solo rendition of ‘This Train Is Bound For Glory”.
Her professional career began one night at the age of fifteen when she shared the
stage with her father’s country western band. Impressed with her beautiful voice,
a local DJ approached her father and said, if he could get Victoria in a studio to
record a few songs, he would put them on the air. Soon three of her songs were
playing on the local radio station. The phone switchboard lit up like a Christmas
tree with callers asking who this girl was!
Touring with her own band, Victoria built a reputation throughout the Northwest as
a rock-solid professional that won her numerous contest honors and the
opportunities to open for such acts as Dan Seals, The Nitty Gritty Dirt band,
Marshall Tucker and more. Finally one day, Dave Wilson of KMON radio in Great
Falls, Montana exclaimed, “Get outa here, girl. You belong in Nashville .”
And so, on the heels of a tornado that shocked the city, Victoria Schafer blew
into Nashville and has been blowing audiences away ever since. Victoria ’s vocals
exude confidence, strength and a richness of experience as a performer and as a
woman. She cites Martina McBride and Celine Dion among the powerful singers who
inspire her.
Victoria counts among her credits two independent films, appearances on The
Nashville Network’s “You Can Be A Star” and “Be A Star”, and two videos (“I Don’t
Love You Anymore” and “Come Away With Me”) which have aired on TNN.
According to Victoria , “Life can be so overwhelming, but when I am onstage, my
heart is light and if I can see the burden in someone else’s eyes drift away
through one of my songs, I have done my job.”
One dream this dynamo holds dear to her heart is playing the Grand Ole Opry. “It’s
something I’ve always dreamed of being a part of. I can’t even express what it
would mean to share in the history of the incredible women who have come before.”
With her beautiful voice and unique talent for ‘making a song her own’, Victoria
Schafer is living her dream in Nashville. Her debut album, featuring the title
song, “High Performance Woman”, will soon be available on MD Records.

I sent an angel to watch over you last night, but it came back. I asked, "Why?"... The angel said: "Angels don't watch over angels!." Twenty angels are in the world. Ten are sleeping. Nine are playing. One is reading this comment... Send this to ten friends, including me.
