Hailing from Fresno CA, Victory jump offers an upbeat but not over-polished sound, usually edgy or riff driven. Lyrically being an alternative to lots of hardcore/nihilistic music. VJ lyrics range from growing up and relationships, to randomness and coping with times you'd love to forget.
While all attending the same schools since junior high, Evan, David and Justin all had the same things on their minds. The goal to make music they loved, could relate to, and wanted to share with anyone that would listen. Wanting to keep things simple and different from what a lot of bands were doing, Evan and David decided to go with a three piece. The band started and they immediately began writing what had been envisioned.
So the search for a bass player was on! As numerous bassists came and burnt out, Evan and David were losing hope. Finally, despite the internet’s many OTHER uses, Evan contacted Justin, eventually leading to the melodic rock trio known today as Victory jump.
