Victory Lain were runners up at the Grand Final of the 2005 QLD ROCK AWARDS held at Suncorp Piazza Southbank...previous contestants include Powderfinger, The Butterfly Effect, and Butterfingers. The band also won ARTIES BAND WARS - A brisbane based band comp/festival that attracted 800+ people. VL were also recently named runners up for the Big Day Out 2007 Mp3 Competition with the song Victory Way.
The band's debut EP received airplay on quality local music shows such as 89.7 Twin Cities FM (WA) 4ZZZ and Bay FM. They have also been interviewed live on 4zzz and Bay FM, and have received great reviews in local street press including Rave Magazine, Time-Off Magazine, Scene Magazine, Southern Star, Skratch Magazine (USA) and Base Magazine (W.A). MIdway through the year the band was also accepted for a compilation cd which is currently circulating in the United States and has been to numerous Van's Warped Tours and a recent interview on YouK.uk.com on their soon to be released single OVER. The band is not only getting exposure nationally but internationally as well.
Also the band had the honor of sharing the stage with Aussie Rock Legends ROSE TATTOO and up coming brisbane bands Hotel 44 and Ceremony on Australia Day.
VL have finished the final touches on the NEW EP - "TAKE ALL THERE IS" - recorded at Modern Music with Stuart Niven of Crimelab.
