A long time ago Andrew and Jason were in a band. That band was a very sad one. To be in the band you had to wear all black shirts, diesel jeans, and fancy shoes. Jason liked to wear purple shirts and green cord shorts. He made Andrew and the other man in the band (Anthony) very very sad. Finally he wore a yellow rayon shirt and Andrew and Anthony told him to pack his drums and go home. They found other guys who were just as faux sad as them. Then a bald man on a power trip asked Andrew, Anthony and the other boys to sign some papers. He'd put out their blatant alkaline trio rip off of a record, if they'd let him keep all the money. It sounded fantastic, so they did it. After using the faux sadness as a marketing ploy, the bald man laughed all the way to the bank. Andrew and one of the boys saw ego's swell as popularity leveled off so they got off the train. After taking 4 years to learn that playing music, and playing music for money are two different things Andrew wanted to play again. He met Mike, and they started writing songs that were not all that good, but they had fun. Andrew told Jason he was sorry, and offered to let him wear his yellow shirt again if he'd come play bass. Dave knew Jason somehow, and used to be in a band with a kid who sang with the silliest voice ever. Since Andrew and Mike were both bass players playing guitar, and Jason was a drummer playing bass it only made sense that Dave ( a guitar player) play drums. They decided to call the band Victory Records as an hommage to the bald man whose commericalization of peoples heart and soul made all this disillusionment possible. Remember kids...everytime someone adds themselves as a friend to us an angel get's a cool casualties patch.
