Sorry about your experiences Ruth, I know the pictures can have a negative impact  at first but the lyrics give hope, for one not to give up; throw in the towel  or to be submissive but to get up and keep  trying to make things better. Most things are about perceptions; As i watched it again my perceptions changed and i viewed it as beautiful  art; coriiography; a dance technique; ballet . and its based on daily life experiences i believe. Sometimes we pick the wrong people to fall in love with who end up hurting us, thats true, even when its not right like Pink says. Am  learnig something new everyday from listening to this song. This video is highly disturbing as I am a victim of domestic violence, and as a fighter, still been a victim of, on numerous occasions..  AND I AM A Strong bitch who will FIGHT, FIGHT ,FIGHT to the death!!!  I can say that, FORTUNATELY I TOOK TAE KWON DO, AND I WAS ABLE TO DEFEND MYSELF PHYSICALLY against abusive EX's on numerous occasions dealing with abusive, want-to-be-control freaks.. HOWEVER, THE MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, and VERBAL ABUSE WAS NOT SO EASY to deal with over the years.. PERIOD. I am 42 ys old and a STRONG, FEMALE WARRIOR.. But, I have never found the counseling that I needed...  I BELIEVE WHOLEHEARTEDELY THAT ALLL, ALLL, SCHOOL-AGED FEMALE CHILDREN SHOULD HAVE, HAVE, HAVE  and B REQUIRED TO TAKE, are SELF-DEFENSE CLASSES!!!  As 97% of sexual assault victims are females.  If you havea daughter, or a sister, or an Aunt, or a Mother, or a Grandmother... Or, even just a female friend.. SHARE THIS THOUGHT!!! And, spread self-defense as a WAY OF LIFE for my sistas!!!
