I started out promoting and brining Indie Rock Shows to lonely ol' Oklahoma back in the day(early 90's) under the name "Mind Candy Productions" after tiring the drive to "Dallas" to see the shows I wanted to see! The next thing I know I'm bringin' the shows that I set out to see and putting them on in Tulsa, Norman, & OKC... Then I end up on Tour with The Flaming Lips, Grandaddy, Elliott Smith, and Pavement to name a few.
I have now retired from the "Road Life" of serving as Tour Manager, L.D., Projectionist and other misc. forms of personnel in some shape or another for the likes of The Flaming Lips, Grandaddy, Elliott Smith, Pavement, The Chamber Strings, etc, etc... Oh and don't forget about the bizzarre 3 years I spent on the road with John Tesh(Entertainment Tonight). Talk about surreal, try being on a Tour bus with John Tesh one week & then piled into a van with The Flaming Lips the next...
Day job I'm the Operations Manager for 2 Arena's here at The University of Missouri. ok massive confusion! We waited at the Cherry street stage for you to play videology but it looked like they were disassembling the stage so we were like, wtf?!... We were confoozed... so we went home all disappointed-like. *shrugs* Next time, i guess...
