I like one free every single day. | | Television | I like Judge Joe Brown 'cause it comes in kinda OK if I get the antenna just so. But mostly I see TV by renting discs of great stuff like Sports Night, 24, The Wire, The Sopranos, Murder One, Boomtown, Greg the Bunny, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Wonder Falls, Home Movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Peep Show, Twin Peaks, Roller Girls, Angel, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, My Name Is Earl, The Office, The Office, News Radio, Six Feet Under, Kids in the Hall, MST3K, C.S.I., Sealab, Tom Goes to the Mayor, The Simpsons, The Prisoner,Slings and Arrows, Stella, Reno 911, Freaks and Geeks, Slings & Arrows, SNL, SCTV... | | Books | Books are for people too timid to watch thousands upon thousands of movies to the exclusion of all other interests.
But I like the Rough Guide to cult cinema. And Pauline Kael's "For Keeps" is pretty much a necessity. Oh, and Danny Peary's "Cult Movies" series is something you should have. The Psychotronic Video Guide...I mean, that's just a given.
Oh, and all books that were made into movies. One time, some friends gave me the novelization of the pilot episode of the original 'Battlestar Galactica' and an audio tape of them reading the first chapter. Pretty much the best present ever... | | Heroes | John Sayles, Robert Altman
