We like everything. We're not "art film snobs." Really. I mean, we love, y'know, Godard and Hitchcock and Stan Brakhage and all that, but we also really love The Matrix and Groundhog Day and 2 Fast 2 Furious (and we're NOT kidding), so you shouldn't avoid us just because you don't want to watch Andrei Rublev over & over. (But if you DO want to watch Andrei Rublev over & over, then get down here IMMEDIATELY.)
We're not really a band. We're a video store. Does a video store have a bio? Well, we opened on December 6, 2004. We started Video Rodeo to finally have a place in Gainesville that would stock (and care about) independent/underground/foreign/documentary/classic films and pretty much any other kind of film that Blockbuster and Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery don't care about. We've got around 5000 DVD & VHS titles now with more coming every day. And as of January 1, 2006, we're officially an employee-owned business. Is this a bio?

Video documentation of a performance piece by my friend Nate Kassel who rode around on his bike slapping high-fives to people who were trying to hail taxi cabs in NYC. Enjoy!
The Kickstand in Gainesville is celebrating one year with a weekend of festivities including several shows, a critical mass (on friday).... and AN ALLEYCAT! Bring yourself, bring your friends, your gear, and your helmet, and get ready to race around town. Goofy prizes and shit for all categories. $5-10 (sliding, whatever) to race. All money goes to helping the Kickstand pay rent.
JANUARY 31st at the Kickstand, 2:30 registration, 3:30 race starts!
Heads up, baby! Next Friday night, January 23, the Righteous Kind will be the only band playing at Brophy’s Pub. That’s right, man, All Righteous, All Night. Come early, come late, but come on out and dig the groovy rockin’ sound.
