An ArtsUnion event, August 8th, 8-11pm. (Raindate Saturday August 9th)
On August 8th Vidfest: Hi-Performance Video and Music Festival will be taking over the Union Square plaza all night long with a free, all ages, music and video art extravaganza.
The event will feature performances and big screen video projections from:
Mixel Pixel (NYC)
Video Hippos (Baltimore)
and Awesome Brothers (Providence)
Who I'd like to meet: Between bands, check out a one night only exhibition of temporary video installations by awesome nationally recognized artists, including after-effects heavy animations, music videos and short narratives focused on the crossbreeding of independent music and performance in contemporary video.
The show includes contributions from L.A. musician/artists Lucky Dragons, NYC based performance artist Dynasty Handbag, Mark Brown and other members of Baltimore's illustrious Wham City collective and Seattle based artist Wynne Greenwood, known for her multimedia performances as Tracy and the Plastics and videos for LeTigre.
