About me:

Robyn Wilson is the head and heart behind View of Courage Studios.

A Sydney-based creative director working across hybrid art performance projects incorporating sound and video art, costuming and set design. She also does things that involve art direction, styling and photography, on a plethora of projects for her own View of Courage Studios plus Ministry of Sound, fashion designer Wayne Cooper, Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, Nokia, Oxford Art Factory, Don't Panic Magazine, Anode Festival and City of Sydney Art & About Festival.

Robyn has made some crazy gigs happen, including Exquisite Corpse at Oxford Art Factory, Sydney Australia. A weekly night featuring performance art, video art and short films, live music, sound art, dance, magic, djs and other acts of creative greatness. A stunningly unique, richly inspiring event, contributing to the forefront of the Sydney art and music scene.

Robyn Wilson was nominated for Best Visual Artist in the 2008 Sydney Music, Art and Culture Awards.

View of Courage Studios are proud to announce that the recent audio visual collaborative performance FOREVER THE MOTION was a sell-out event, receiving resounding reviews from an audience who were challenged, moved and inspired at once. We would like to thank all of our guests, it was a pleasure to share this special sensory experience with you.

The evening featured magnificent performances by key FOREVER THE MOTION collaborators Robyn Wilson (vox), Jack Dibben (guitar), Anthony Garvin (live fx) & Jordana Maisie (video) and captivating accompanying acts Kirin J Callinan and Morning Stalker.

The live sound recordings from each performance are currently being mixed and mastered at the renowned recording studios, Studios 301, whilst a full length video piece is being cut by Jordana Maisie in Berlin. The DVD of the show is due for release late-August 09.

'WORDSHOW' LIVE FASHION INSTALLATION & DAYTIME SHOW TEASER | MERCEDES AUSTRALIAN FASHION WEEK 07

DAYTIME SPECTACLE "The Sylas Productions team (now known as View of Courage Studios) entered the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week compound concealed within a delivery truck. The sharply beautiful muse, Rose Vickers appeared, with giant black helium balloons floating behind her and clothed as one of the striking 'Wordshow' characters, in the unique crossword garb. She strides through the crowd, causing mayhem and cataclysmic wonder. Suddenly, she releases her belt and her crossword dress flies up high above the crowd and buildings, trailing behind the giant helium balloons. She flees from the scene, her outfit now revealed as a neon crossword swimsuit and black tutu, with TV cameras and press photographers in pursuit. A moment of beautiful, daring, courageous adventure."

THAT NIGHT - "The party is happening, the room is packed, the Pedestrian guys are DJing. The suspense is building, we are all dieing to know what is about to occur behind the locked doors of the show room. We are finally invited in, the room is glowing, Toecutter is playing his kooky, distorted sounds, there are 5 models dressed head to toe in incredible crossword outfits, characters from the post-neo-ether. The show begins. They come alive, they dance, they are living, breathing, divine. The room then glows with UV, as do the models, glowing with bright white and neon colours. It is a spectacle. Different to anything I have seen before. They tell a conceptual story and increase in energy and movement, leading to the climax of the show in which the giant helium balloons, that skirt the stage, explode with shards of metallic and black and white paper raining down on the models and crowd. We are sad when it is over, we are inspired to have lived in this magical world for what seemed like hours, but was only 30 minutes. This team of wild creative collaborators, led by the vision of Robyn Wilson, are ones to very closely watch, they are the future.."- Jet Lyon

URBAN DRAGON PROJECT | ANODE FESTIVAL 08 | LIVE CREATION & PERFORMANCE EVENT.

A team of talented collaborators and selected members of the public worked to create the 8 metre dragon sculpture live on-site at the Anode Festival Field Trip event, held in the Domain carpark. In the evening the dragon became alive with a fire dancer, flag dancers, drummers and percussionists in an eruption of colour, beauty and energy.
