View Through Blind Eyes was started in January of '08 by a few members that were in a band previously called An Internal Denial. That band ended a few weeks prior to the birth of View Through Blind Eyes. So they started fresh and clean with new members, and new music that was nothing like anything they had ever written before. With a little help from some knowledgable industry friends, the band sat down and listened to the advice that they had been given, and created an outlook for the future of the band.
They knew exactly what they wanted to do with the band, and how to go about doing it. They all share the same focus and intent for the band. So they began to practice every single week and prepare themselves for their first show in which they opened for Chiodos, MXPX, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and The Color Fred on May 1st 2008.
Since then, they have had many show opportunites in which they have shared the stage with Ivoryline, Automatic Loveletter, and The Gallery; and they Headlined the Mercy St. Cafe Stage at SoulFEST 2008 in which their out of state exposure began to flourish. The band shows a very promising future and their, already impressive, lineup of bands that they have shared the stage with... will get even larger by the end of the year 2008. This includes, but is definitely not limited to; Underoath, Saosin, The Devil Wears Prada, Senses Fail, Dance Gavin Dance, Sky Eats Airplane, Foxy Shazam, and As I Lay Dying!
Despite all of the accomplishments that this band has and will ever make, there is still one thing that remains the most important to them... and that is how many lives they have an affect on. The band stands firm on their belief in Jesus Christ their LORD and savior, and they stand up on the stage every show committing their love to God and to his people.
"The world is walking on a thin sheet of ice that they call their lives, hoping and praying for something better. We are blinded by the truth, and we see the world for what we want it to be and not for what it is. But still despite it all, we must VIEW the world THROUGH our BLIND EYES. And open up our hearts to reality!"
