The launch of the new millennium marked the start of a new musical collaboration, that of Vik Levak and Jody Quine. Jody met Vik while recording a solo project at Hush Sound, a facility owned by Vik Levak. During this time Vik was also working on an electronica project called Balligomingo. Balligomingo was conceptualized and created by Garrett Schwartz, and soon after, Vik lent his talents to the project as a co-producer, writer and musician. Rapidly, Balligomingo’s sound became undeniable and within a year the project secured a worldwide record deal with BMG/RCA, now BMG/Sony.
Upon hearing Jody’s voice, Garrett expressed to Vik his interest in having her join the handful of vocalists featured on Balligomingo’s debut CD. This spawned the musical collaboration of Quine and Levak.
The initial effort, for the Balligomingo album, proved successful as it produced ‘Purify’, a track that came to the attention of Bob Jamieson, president of BMG. Tremendously excited, Jamieson quickly earmarked ‘Purify’ as the first single to push the world-wide launch of Balligomingo’s ‘Beneath the Surface’ CD. Prior to the CD release, the record label sent ‘Purify’ to several renowned DJ’s for alternative dance remixes. Concurrent with the CD launch, four final remixes were pressed to vinyl and distributed to top club DJ’s in the United States. The Gus Gus remix of ‘Purify’ blasted onto the Billboard Breakout Club Charts at number 3, transferred to the club play charts where it quickly escalated to number 28, attained rotation on Australian MTV, climbed to number 4 in the UK charts, and found placement on several compilations and television shows.
Having achieved early success with a harmonious collaboration, Levak and Quine bounced around the idea of starting a side project. One of the first compositions under this project, ‘Frozen’, leaked out to cyberspace, created an early buzz, found placement on a major motion picture ‘Human Cargo’ and had fans of Levak and Quine calling for more. However, other commitments, including Balligomingo, consumed their time until the summer of 2004. As the season shifted into autumn, Levak and Quine shifted into gear to get their musical concept off ground; thus the arrival of viia – a powerful musical concept fusing elements of pop, electronica, and infectious melodies, creating a distinct sound with subtle traces reminiscent of Annie Lennox, Sarah Mclachlin, and U2.

I haven't forgotten about you guys. It's terrible I'm beginning to forget the name of that fantastic song you guys had up here a couple of years ago..I want to say "That Girl" but either Marlo Thomas or Stevie Wonder might be invading my memory. You guys really need to release those "old" tunes it would be a shame for them to fade away. Anyway good luck with Balligomingo and the family stuff.

Can someone upload the song Invitation on this page? It used to be up a long time ago and it's a beautiful song. It would be great to be able to buy and find these songs somewhere.
Hope you had a great summer and are closer to releasing your music. I would consider making an offer for a private copy of them because it would be a shame to never have anyone enjoy those songs.
As a friend I ask a favor of you. There is a new musician out there who I want to see get recognized more.I am his friend as well as a fan and want to share his music with you. You may like it or not but if you do add him to your profile if you'd like too. He is second on my friends list Emzy Collins.
It's not a good sign when you guys haven't logged on since December. I'm still hopin for a VIIA CD. It's amazing to think that some of those great songs you use to have up here may never see the light of day. Would be a shame. Reminds me of some Jimmie Spheeris songs they had up on his tribute web site that they took down. Acouple of great tunes I may never hear again.
Whats up? I found this site and thought i'd tell everyone, it shows you if anyone at school likes you. I dont know how it works but its really cool, it told me a couple different people who have crushes on me since gradeschool. You gotta try it!
