Vocal Ensemble Viisveisaa was founded in 1998. All members of the group also used to sing in multi awarded Dominante Choir and have also sung in numerous vocal groups before Viisveisaa. What was in the beginning just an idea of having fun in singing a cappella jazz, pop and folk music with friends has now transformed to an ambitious desire to do it also as well as possible... without forgetting the fun, of course. That, we think, is the recipe to entertain people whereever we happen to perform. And when the audience is happy, so are we!
Viisveisaa has performed audiences from one person to several thousands in concerts and over a hundred thousand persons live via television. Viisveisaa has also co-operated with leading Finnish jazz musicians and composers and is planning to do so also in the future.

The Real Community is made for people coming from different parts of the vocal music world - singers, vocal ensembles, choirs, festival managers, booking representatives, conductors, composers, a cappella fans - everybody who has a connection to a cappella music.

we are very happy to tell you about the first a cappella festival taking place in Sweden! Sept 10-14 2008 in Västerås Concert House - 4 days with concerts, master-classes, workshops, seminars... and meeting with singers from all over the world.
