On May 2nd, Villa Esperanza will be hosting a night of salsa dancing to raise money for our upcoming projects. Come join us and the well-loved local salsa band Cienfuegos at Jovita’s and help us support those in need in our community and abroad. There will be salsa lessons at 8pm and live music starting at 9pm, all for only $10. All levels of dancing welcome, so there’s no need to worry if you lack experience. We look forward to seeing you there!

About me: Welcome to Villa Esperanza. We are a young nonprofit organization helping those in need in Ecuador. We recently helped with the flood relief effort on the Ecuadorian coast, and we are starting a new campaign to support early childhood education in an impoverished community in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Villa Esperanza started with the vision that empowering people is the best way to fight poverty and injustice. Every project and effort we support is founded in this mission. We are delighted you are visiting us, and we hope you will join us in our efforts.
Who I'd like to meet: Any and everyone.
Feel free to drop in on one of our monthly meetings on the first Monday of the month at Genuine Joe's (location may change) to offer your ideas about projects, fundraisers or volunteer opportunities, or just to introduce yourself. We'd love to meet you!
If you're interested in volunteering or donating, please check our site at http://villa-esperanza.org or e-mail us at volunteer@villa-esperanza.org.

This is an event that Brandon Badillo created 2 years ago as a way to raise funds for his ailing Grandfather. This is an annual event which will keep growing and growing each year. Hurricane Ike spoiled our fun last year so we decided to push it up a little and have a full day event that welcomes all ages. Carrying on the tradition of giving back to the community, a portion of Xemumba's proceeds will benefit Lupe Arte and National Hispanic Institute.
Performers for Xemumba 09 include: Azul, Os Alquimistas, Seu Jacinto, La Guerrilla, Este Vato, El Tule, Krudas, Ritmo 3, Gabriel Santiago Quintet, Buscando El Monte, and Proyecto Saoko.
We are currently seeking vendors to come be a part of this beautiful festival. Contact badillo@bembaentertainment.com
