Vincent Russo has been composing music since 1988. He is a self taught musician on both guitar and keyboards. While growing up on Long Island, Vincent explored rock, blues, jazz and western classical music. Over the years Vincent has produced a wide range of works that range from chamber, symphonic, choral as well as more pop oriented and electronic styles of music.
Mr. Russo brings a sensibility and intelligence to his music. Early recordings such as "blue meditations for solo piano" are a testament to his maturity as a composer. Vincent is always searching for new ways to express himself through his art. Newer recordings such as "pieces for piano/adagio ma non troppo" are explorations into the subconscious and music in its purest forms. Seeking inspiration from classical and contemporary composers alike, he has achieved penetrating works that demand attention. Both of his CD's are available at cdbaby, iTunes, Rhapsody (etc).
Mr. Russo is currently beginning to collaborate with a downtown theatre company and has been working with an off-off Broadway theatre director for the past year and a half.
Vincent is available for hire and collaboration within the fields of theatre, dance, film, visual and other mediums of the performing arts.
Along with being a composer, Vincent is also a poet. He has been writing poetry for over 10 years. His pieces have been published in local Long Island publications such as "Great South Bay Magazine". Some of his poems can be found at poetry.com.
Vincent has also begun taking photographs since the fall of 2005. He prefers using an inexpensive digital camera. His work is often spontaneous as he utilizes his camera's limitations in fresh and unique ways.
Ciao, Vincent! Thanks for th efriend request, I'm glad to be your friend. Your piano music is very beautiful, fine and creative, I like it very much. Greetings from Italy Giovanni
A soon-to-be-released DVD entitled "Progression of a Child Prodigy" depicts how Chelsea progresses through her musical performances. Children can often find it difficult to relate to the talents of individuals who are more than three times their age when they are asked to accomplish their musical studies. This DVD will help encourage young students into believing that it is possible to achieve musical excellence at a young age.
