Old baggage is emotional stuff we carry around with us for days, months or years. It is usually negative like old hurts, resentments, anger or some kind of pain inflicted by another person. It can also be just carrying around some old guilt, failure or fear that impacts our current relationships and life in general.
Why do people hold on to all of these old feelings? Everyone moves through life with their own very personal agendas, needs and life issues. Old baggage starts to feel very comfortable after a while, so comfortable as a matter of fact many people die never able to let go of these hurts, slights and pain.
There is one very good reason to let go of all of this baggage. One of the major causes of stress today is suppressed emotions that fester in the body taking their eventual toll on some aspect of our physiology. One of the biggest causes of stress today is all of this old baggage. So why let it go? It may kill you if you don’t. XOXO D.
That although most of the world focuses on the intellect and our external world: this is only one reality. The other reality is our inner world that is driven by our hopes and dreams: our heart's desires. The inner you is activated by our own observation of it ... observation of your thoughts, your emotions and how that feels in your body. Our whole body is our subconscious and every cell holds memory. Each and every cell listens to what we say about ourselves. What do you say?
Only you can observe your mind and identify what thought, smell, color and touch, triggered your emotions. The very act of observation slowly closes down your ego and your fears diminish. You identify that you do have control and you can simply decide that you no longer need the drama in your life. As you cut emotional links you gain emotional composure and you reduce your needs. If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in your field of bliss, and they open doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be.
Every human has four endowments- self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom... The power to choose, to respond, to change. XOXO D.
Do not allow your feelings to dictate your behavior ... set your own criteria on what you should and should not do. It is important to establish principles beforehand as to what to do when caught in such situations because emotions may dominate your being and rational thoughts go out the window!
Recognizing emotions in others ... emotional self-awareness is the first step to empathic sensitivity. In other words, if we are in touch with our own feelings, then we can empathize with others and sense their needs. XOXO D.

Lovely breezes
and windy days can be used to connect with the magical element of Air and this
magic charm is one that anyone can easily do for themselves and their friends.
On a breezy day, find a piece of blue material or ribbon and tie one end to a
fence, a tree branch or a clothesline. Then, as you watch the ribbon fly
and wave in the wind, repeat these words out loud,
"Blow laughing winds from North and South,
from fairy lands and East to West, I'll be happy as I say send me magic every
day,"
You can leave
the ribbon there for as long as you like and add any others to it for a magical
