BoomBap describes himself as a "brown bag" emcee. His amateur resume is quite extensive. It reads like a hip-hop timeline complete with artists who shaped the culture. Vini's first stage performance dates back to 1983, when the culture hadn't reached the rest of the country. He also claims to be a true hip hop artist, who has, and will continue to write songs. Not for the purpose of being signed, but for pure enjoyment. His stage show is nothing short of high energy, and edutaining. Deviating from the norm, Vini's content deals with issues relating to the "blue collar" demographic, because he is well aware there are listeners who can't relate to the thug lifestyle.
