"O, Brother, Come with me" is a remembrance of those starry-eyed boys and girls who we sent to Viet Nam. When they returned it was "O, Brother, Come with me" is a remembrance of those starry-eyed boys and girls who we sent to Viet Nam. When they returned it was not to cheers as returning heroes. I pray we may never forget the horror which they faced. Even now it lingers in the steamy fields of our collective guilt. In a bigger picture, "O, Brother" expresses the grief we share whenever we send our brothers off to die in foreign lands.
Back in the 80's I composed this song Black Bird that most of my friends/fans have never heard. My Webmaster decided to create a slidshow presentation depicting my career from the beginning to present using Black Bird as the background sound.
I hope all of you enjoy this journey through time showcasing my career.
Sometimes when I see a pretty girl, I go into a fantasy of enjoying her beauty so very much. You're Such a Beautiful Girl is a Song I composed
for all of the Beautiful girls I have ever known and the for ones I have not had the pleasure to meet.
The Christmas song I composed with Troy Powers, All I Want for Christmas is You, is the number one song again. It was the most-requested Christmas song, the number one Country Christmas Song, number 1 on the Top 25 Gold Country Christmas Hits, and the number six All-Time Country Music Video...
Originally from my album Volume One, "I Got Stung" was reprised on "I Know What it Means to Miss New Orleans."
It is me as a young guy. I wrote it for my then lead guitarist, the late Richard Heath. He played a trash lead that was so dirty, it shoulda been illegal.
Unfortunately, Richard was killed in our 1982 wreck. So, I sang it and Little Nickie Vance Manousos, our finesse lead played it like Richard would have... and did a killer job.
The song sports my show-off lyrics where I'm just having a great time playing with words. I am proud of the playful and sexy lyric. It would be great even today as a pop rock tune.
If you want a blast from the past, check out the video on You Tube. That's me trying to act sexy...

"You can't buy a good time, but you can hire me and improve your chances." -Vince Vance
Vince Vance is the leader of the Number One Rock n' Roll Show Band in the World: Vince Vance & the Valiants. Our most exciting moments include: being inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame on June 12, 2005 in Harvey Louisiana. In January of 2005, we were featured at the Louisiana sponsored Inaugural Ball honoring President Bush in Washingon, DC. Since our inception, we have performed 5,000+ concerts in 13 countries and 34 of the United States. Twice President & Hillary Clinton featured us at the White House for the Annual Easter Egg Roll in 1994 & 1995.
Vince Vance is co-composer of the Number One Christmas Song in America: "All I Want for Christmas is You." His song has become a seasonal staple and has been recorded by many artists including LeAnn Rimes and Sammy Kershaw. However, Vince's version is the one you hear every year at Chrstmas.
Vince's favorite thing is to WOW an audience. Check out that hair! It's like 18" tall EVERYDAY! Vince has put together an unforgettable cast of the greatest singer and musician performers in America. Wait till you see any of the Valiants, like Jimmy Vee, the World's Greatest Saxophonist playing 2 saxes simultaneously and one of them upside down! Or fall in love with the Vivacious Voluptuous Valiantettes. Wait to you see them. They look as good as the sing! But the highlight of the show is Vince and how he really gets the audience involved. Often audience members are brought on stage and made part of the action. The show's music contains some of Vince's hits and the greatest hits of Rock and Roll in the form of a wacky history which they perform all over the world 12 months a year.
