The band that surrounds me usually changes from here to there and everywhere I go since I do a lot of solo gigs. I can start naming names but that list is from here to Tokyo. I would like to thank all of those incredible beings though especially those in Amsterdam, Italy and California for helping me achieve the magic that we create as musicians, that make our audiences screaming for more. You are all on top of my list. And to you audiences out there from all walks of life, you guys are amazing. I love you all. U Rock My World!!!
Hi everyone, I'm Vinny Fazzari. Singer-songwriter, sharing the incredible gift I received from God with all you thoroughbreds out there, trying to help inspire and bring peace, love and higher conscious into this wonderfully beautiful flucked up world.
I have had several inbox messages that have asked me to be a little more precise regarding myself. Well I was stunned to know that so many people were actually that interested in me. I decided to listen to you guys though so here it is. I want to thank those of you who sent messages in and giving me the inspiration.
I came into the world to an Italian father and Afro Cuban mother. I grew up on Catalina Island. I was a very precocious child. I started playing drums when I was 4. I started writing plays when I was 9 and performing them with my brother and friends in our garage to the neighborhood. We moved off the island to the bay area during my junior high school daze and that is where I started playing the guitar. There were a few guys that played out there and had all the girls. Well since the drum sticks at lunch time hanging out of my back pocket weren't gathering any girls at all, near my vicinity anyway, I thought it best to do the switch. Everyone conjugated out there to relive the early periods of our boring school while smoking cigs and anything else that looked like a cig. After high school, I moved back to Catalina Island and started a rock band called The Island Madness Band. I took singing lessons in Santa Monica once a week. I would travel over on the boat, take a lesson and be back in time for the last boat back to the island in order to make the gig at The Chi Chi Club. I still don't know how I did that for it was, do the gig, party, go to sleep, wake up, go back to work. Nothing really in between for after work we would always party our brains out till the sun came up. But in going back and forth to Santa Monica, I started falling in love with the place and decided to move to Venice Beach. I got a job as a waiter but started my own business as a recording studio entrepreneur not long after because I hated working for other people. I played in all kinds of bands during this time when I had time. You see, I went into business for myself thinking it would catapult my musical career but it sort of back fired for it was all of a sudden a business where there were all sorts of bills that needed to be paid so it was like, work my ass off to stay afloat!!! And I did for 11 years. I also took a bunch of acting classes when I could find the time, Stella Adler being my final faze for 3 1/2 years. Did some movies and it was all looking pretty good but through Lee Curreri, (he was Bruno on the television series Fame), I acquired a manager for my music career and he wanted to immediately send me to England or Holland. Well I was totally down for a trip to Europe and being a real Beatle fanatic, in my head, I was on my way to London!!!!!.....until I got home to my dutch girlfriend that is who asked me if we could please go to Holland instead so she could finish up her schooling. To be honest, I was just excited to get out of LA for a bit so we moved to Amsterdam. Why move away one would think when in fact my acting career was getting ready to launch big time? I had acquired a manager that had great connections in Europe and my music was running through my veins like hot steel so I just went with my heart. Spent time touring throughout Europe which was awesome, playing festivals up to 55,000 people. All in all, the glitz and glamorous land of La La was beckoning me so I have recently moved back into California. And besides, I really haven't given LA a shot at my music. So in getting amped up to perform and put out a cd, I got a record deal and I am now ready to turn this world upside down and shake the shit out of it!!!!
