About me:
I am on staff at Vintage Faith Church in Santa Cruz, CA Vintage Faith Church is a new church launched in 2004 and we are trying to make sense of what it means to be both a Christian and a church community in the world today. There are so many negative impressions people have about the church and Christianity and I hope we can be different so more people hear and understand the teachings of Jesus and what it means to follow Him..... the church web site is.............................. www.vintagechurch.org
Who I'd like to meet:
Others who are interested in Rockabilly and comic art....... those interested in Jesus and Christian spirituality without getting into the trapping of organized religion. Those who have questions or wonderings about Christianity, but aren't part of a church because of the negative stereotypes of Christianity.

Hey Dan,
Thank for the add, I'm reading your book, good message, although I can see it will be hard for some to hear without being defensive. I grew up in Santa Cruz moved to Colorado 9 years ago. Still go back on business once or twice a month... it's still the same. I used to attend Lighthouse in Soquel and then the Vineyard in SV. Now attending Vineyard of the Rockies in Windsor Colorado with my wife and boys. Keep up the good work, praying for God's grace over you and your family and church. Hope to visit VF this summer with the fam... Later, Joe

Hey Dan,
I know you're busy. Just wondering if yuo could recommend some current groups/musicians that combine punk and rockabilly. I like the psychobilly sound but would like a little less b-movie influence.
Love the books. You're making a difference and opening eyes in unexpected places.
Thanks,
Dale

Hello Dan,

Wanted to ask you a question...

I am wanting to teach a basic hermeneutics course to my senior high youth, but I am having a little bit of trouble finding the "right" resource. Do you have any suggestions?

BTW, I am asking you this b/c I recently listened to an old CD from the NYWC where you suggested teaching this to students.

Thanks.

Hello Dan. Thanks for the add.

I read They Like Jesus But Not The Church over Christmas. It was a great read and VERY refreshing.

I pray that I have the courage to be missional and leave the bubble no matter what the cost might be.

I just wanted to tell you thanks for having the courage to write that book. It really ministered to me, but convicted me more than anything.
