(December 2007)Vintage Green is putting the finishing touches to their lastest and most exciting work yet. They took the time in May of 2007 to document their words and music by meeting with Josh Antonuccio at 3 Elliot Studios in Athens, Ohio to record. Due to Jakob not being in the correct state the band is not able to get out and perform as of right now. They hope by January 2008 their new record will be available for faithful listeners. A new face-lift is coming to their website so be sure to check it out from time to time to keep yourself in tune. Wishing all the best--------------
Spring now rest on our shoulders as we await patiently for this last bit of chill to makes it way to the north direction. Vintage Green still gathers in Rick's basement to create their music as often as possible. Ideas are stuck to the walls and paper airplanes make circles above their heads. They continue to nestle themselves into the wonderful musicial culture of Athens, OH and are making lots of great new friends. Best wishes to all.
---------------So here we sit in the winter of 2007. Vintage Green continues writing and playing muisc while booking live shows. Their live shows are becoming more and more familiar, comfortable, and filled of sonic soul gripping vibrations. Their website has been given a breath of fresh air since Jakob's brother-in-law, Matt, has so very nicely put it together, I recommend checkin' it out. Keep in touch with the band and their most recent happenings. They appreciate all the support and can't wait to see you out and about. ------------------------------------
Vintage Green came to be as the Spring of 2006 was taking place inside the town of Athens, Ohio. Their sound has been described as "folk and roll" with a weighted influence from the blues. They create music for their own likings and for others to enjoy. They have been known to say, "If our music doesn't come from our hearts, then it shouldn't be coming at all". They welcome you to their new site and to the music they have to offer. So please feel free to have a look and listen to what Vintage Green has here for you. Thanks for stopping in
lovelies it's good to hear you... i wanna throw some warmth from the west. I'm exicted for the new album to come out, i listened to the new tracks and antunuccio did you well...
I dig.. The chaotic ending of "Taught me well" the relevance to our community in "best she can" the feeling of a sunday night "Your kindness" gives is "setting sun" gonna be the last track on the album???
Jakob, your vocals stagger on the edge of a pool party in winter Ben, did i hear a wurlitzer back there?? Ricks got a hell of a spiritual metronome going along with the quickest wrists around. James is plunging in and out of those lines, Angela, the great echoist, chillin' until you hit that Torres note at the end of setting sun
the shit sounds good... i'll be back round in july, see ya then
If you're anywhere near Edinburgh on Thursday 31st, you should come and see Mystery Juice play at Octopus Diamond with Preston Pfanz and the Seaton SaVintage Greennds. It'll be pure marvellous
Jakob- it was good to see you on Thursday. I hope I didn't sound too disgruntled, and luckily, no one got hurt. :) It is quite a distraction, though. I may get all political on their ass and start writing letters to see if they can't help me with my blender blues.
I hope your gig went went well last night. I wanted to make it out, but I had to help my mom move in WV. I'm sure you blew 'em away.
as of today! check it out! Also, if you live in the Nj/Ny area I'm working on coming out there for a short tour this summer so stay tuned! Let me know if you'd like me to play in your area!
Yes, thanks from me for the Victoria's Secret comment as well. You guys should record at Hocking Community College sometime. It's free - they only take your soul.
oh gosh... stop making me miss athens so much, with your sweet sad fun songs and your pictures of trees and hills. 'handful' is just beautiful, nice job. hopefully i will get to see you play a show next time i am in ohio. keep up the good work!
So had a cool time joining in and jamming with you folks with a bit of wacky-wild n wooley lead *psych* guitar at Casa and at the Columbia Theater. Good positive vibes and friendly faces all around no doubt. Very fun Thanks again, it was my pleasure @@_/
