Sounds Like
We used to sound rather spacey during the late seventies and early eighties. The disbandment matured our musical tastes and hopefully brought them to the modern day.
We, as a band, collectively decided that we are not an indie act (in the modern sense). Proof that we are not indie generally lies within the fact that we can handle more than four chords in a song, and our keyboard player is actually a space alien sent to Earth who can only communicate with humans in the form of MIDI, rarely quantized to the 8th notes of a 4/4 bar.
I would finally like to thank West Coast Weathervanes for supplying the Crown Hawk imagery.
Vinyl Dial is a five piece band from Gamlingay (and the surrounding area).
About the band:
Vinyl Dial is an East Anglian based self proclaimed Neo Progressive Psychedelic Avian Space Rock band. The band formed in 1979 out of the summertime boredom of five friends each with a musical talent.
We disbanded in 1983 after a very long line of gigs, due to logistic problems of our university lives.
Vinyl Dial have very recently got back together to rekindle some of the old magic but with a new modern, yet progressive outlook.
I hope you enjoy our covers, originals, and experimental songs!
Chicago band Two Ton Anvil have just released their first video from our upcoming self titled debut CD release. We are about to sign with a label and get the CD (which is done) released! Please blog/bulletin/comment/message - anything you can do to help spread the word is appreciated. Also on your email, Facebook, and Twitter pages... Could you please pass this on to someone you think would also be interested. Thanks! Support your local music and TWO TON ANVIL!
we have too many influences to mention ! we just write songs and riffs so that the whole song has something like a theme so its hard to get our songs into genres ! but that stuff is quite old! please check out our new stuff when it comes up !
PS: a good german sentence is " ich will deine mama ficken" learn that and every girl is yours ;-)

I heard the show...most enjoyable! Shame they didn't like our track, but I know it's not the most people-friendly music. Gotta love their honesty! If only mainstream radio DJs had their balls.
Your track sounded cool too, by the way. I'll be listening out for more of your work!
Hails, friend! Thank you for supporting HAMMER HORDE. If you enjoyed what you heard on our myspace, be sure to give a listen to the whole album, "Under the Mighty Oath", available now through our webshop and on iTunes. Take care & keep your pint high! Pagan regards & best wishes.
