Influences
We are inspired by several bands/artists from different genres. Our goal is to combine rock/pop with a harmonic (vintage/retro), symphonic and melodic atmosphere.
Sounds Like
Our songs are founded by several songwriters within the band which makes the music versatile and extensive. This, combined with a gathering of selected sounds (examples: guitar played with bow and hammond organ) defines the universe of Vinyl Floor.
Vinyl Floor is a 4-piece rockband which hails from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band has its roots primarily in the melodic and energetic 70's and likewise in the edgy progressive rock of the 90's. The band combines symphonic and grandiose expression with the urge to write great melodic songs, always non-compromising and exploring new frontiers in that endeavor.
Vinyl Floor needs to be experienced live cause they deliver a tense and dynamic rock show and they have played lots of gigs in Denmark since the beginning in 2005.
The long awaited debutalbum was released in september 2009 and the band is now ready to take on the world!!
The record features 13 songs, all capturing the melodic depth and distinctive atmosphere which characterizes the sound of Vinyl Floor. Enjoy your stay ;-)
