Bienvenidos a este espacio dedicado a la "Viola de Teclas", mi primer trabajo discográfico. Mi formación en la música ha sido con el violín clásico aunque considero el folk mi principal via de expresión. Durante muchos años la música estuvo ausente en mi vida y me dediqué a la Biología. Conocí la nyckelharpa en Suecia gracias a una beca de estudios en Biología y años después la aprendí a tocar de forma autodidacta en Toledo, lejos de su tradición musical original. Este disco es reflejo de mi búsqueda y exploración personal con este instrumento mas allá de tradiciones y geografías. Las piezas musicales son en su mayoría del centro español y estan inspiradas en la ciudad de Toledo. Actualmente acabo de publicar mi segundo disco, ´Como la luna y el sol´ y terminando mis estudios musicales en Suecia (Malmö Academy of Music).
Welcome to this site dedicated to "Viola de Teclas", my first solo album. My music education began playing the classical violin but consider folk to be my musical expression of choice. For a long time I left music behind and devoted to Biology exclusively. During a biology scholarship in Sweden I knew the nyckelhrpa. It was few years later when I started to play it in a self-taught way in the city of Toledo, outside and far away from its typical swedish tradition. This work is a reflection of my particular musical search beyond traditions and geographies. Most of the pieces are originally from central Spain and inspired in Toledo. Nowadays I have just released my second album, ´Como la luna y el sol´and finishing my music studies at Malmö Academy of Music (Sweden).

Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
