"Exactly two years from the birth of ViolentDiva we are finally proud to announce the release of our postponed promo CD 'Six Violent Mornings'. The CD contains 7 tracks which include a completely renewed version of 'Electro Suicide', just released on 'IBM vol.2', and a cover of DuranDuran's "Wild Boys". Violent Diva's goal is always been to create an independent space, both musically and conceptually, inside the electronic scene but closing the door to any kind of stylistic fundamentalism. It's not our job, nor is it our interest to insert ourselves into a determined musical tradition or any single subgenre. Electronic, alternative and classic music are only the departure point on a musical path that has and will continue to have unexpected developments for us as well as for the people who support our music.
The first step on this path is 'Six Violent Mornings', which is a culmination of last two years' sonic experimentations with throbbing beats of clear techno/EBM origin, joined with melodic and harmonic searches of various extraction, flowing back to the same conclusion; a defined and original musical structure. Also involved is the unavoidable side of 'entertainment' which in our scene, either has the right foundations to be able to move without being self-obliged and bound inside very different solutions, and sometimes is simple and superficial, or sometimes with patience is rationally and more organically orchestrated.
In the last two years Live activity has let us show our cards and to be compared with several genres in what is known in Italy as out-of-our-garden sharing. Here at times its seems difficult to try to move asses and often a party's organization is left to chaos; or sometimes in a sad theater we found a promoter and club that with scant resources, made the entire live experience nice and helpful for everybody.
With 'Six Violent Mornings' release we fill the 'Hard-support' blank to promote our music, that until now it was only made available at our gigs or on the web - except in our sharing of some sectorial compilation simply titled 'Italian Body Music vol.2'(2006), 'When Angels Die'(2007) and 'Decadence Compilation'(2007).
If we have to find a connection between the "SVM" tracks, it can probably be found in the Human-races in-ability to keep consistency and coherence between outside relationships and its daily existence as a citizen of a constantly regressive planet. These things are entwined with the Artwork cover, made by vDiva, with which we want to underline our stylistic and iconographic independence.

"A due anni esatti dalla nascita del progetto Violent Diva, siamo orgogliosi di annunciare l'uscita del più volte rimandato Promo Cd 'Six Violent Mornings'. Il cd conterrà 7 tracce tra cui una versione completamente rinnovata di 'Electro Suicide', brano già presente sulla compilation 'IBM vol. 2', e la cover di 'WIld Boys' dei Duran Duran (anche questa in una nuovissima versione).
Il nostro intento è sempre stato quello di ritagliarci uno spazio autonomo, musicalmente e concettualmente, all'interno della scena elettronica, chiudendo la porta a qualsiasi fondamentalismo di genere e stile. Non sta a noi, e in realtà non è nostro interesse, inserirci in un determinato filone musicale o in qualche sottogenere dell'ultim'ora: elettronica, alternative, e classica sono soltanto i punti di partenza di un percorso musicale che ha avuto e avrà in futuro sviluppi inaspettati, sia per noi sia per le persone che ascoltano la nostra musica.
Il primo passo di questo percorso è rappresentato da 'Six Violent Mornings', somma delle sperimentazioni soniche di questi due anni: ai beat martellanti di chiara origine techno/ebm, si uniscono ricerche melodiche e armoniche di diversa estrazione, riconducibili però ad un unico comune denominatore, quale la costruzione di strutture musicali originali e definite. L'inevitabile lato di 'entertainment' che l'ambito musicale di cui facciamo parte comporta, è la giusta base per potersi muovere senza limiti autoimposti all'interno di soluzioni disparate, a volte leggere e superficiali, altre volte ragionate a lungo ed orchestate più organicamente. L'attività live di questi due anni ci ha permesso di uscire allo scoperto e di confrontarci con realtà differenti, sia nell'approcio a questo genere, sia nella partecipazione a quello che succede al di fuori del proprio 'giardino di casa': e' cosa nota come in Italia sia difficile far muovere culi non amici e che spesso l'organizzazione di eventi e concerti sia lasciata al caso e al caos. E' altresì vero che in questo triste teatro si riescano a trovare promoter e locali che, nonostante risorse limitate, rendano l'intera esperienza del live una forma di aggregazione e di comunicazione piacevole e vantaggiosa per tutti.
Con l'uscita di 'Six Violent Mornings' colmiamo la mancanza di un supporto 'fisico' per promuovere la nostra musica, che fino ad oggi si è mossa quasi esclusivamente tramite concerti ed internet - escludendo la partecipazione ad alcune compilation del settore quali 'Italian Body Music Vol.2'(2006), 'When angels die'(2007) e 'Decadence Compilation'(2007) -.
Se dobbiamo trovare un filo conduttore che lega i brani di 'S.V.M.' lo possiamo cercare forse nella difficoltà dell'uomo di mantenere costanza e coerenza nei suoi rapporti con l'esterno e nella sua esistenza quotidiana di individuo e abitante di un pianeta in costante regresso. A questo si lega l'artwork della copertina, curato da vDiva, con il quale la band vuole sottolineare la propria autonomia stilistica e iconografica.
