VIOLENT DIVINE will release their long awaited new album “In Harm's Way” (Misty Recordings) on January 31, 2009. The album is mixed and produced by Pontus Norgren, guitarist of Swedish metal act Hammerfall. It was a natural choice to work together with a highly acclaimed sound engineer and musician like Pontus Norgren, with his long experience of both live and studio and who's previously worked with bands like Europe and Yngwie Malmsteen.
VIOLENT DIVINE and Pontus Norgren share a lot of musical influences like Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue and Accept, just to mention a few. The new album “In Harm's Way” (Misty Recordings) is a massive hard rock album, mixing heavy metal, glam and classic hard rock, featuring 12 strong tracks in the true spirit of VIOLENT DIVINE .
VIOLENT DIVINE is loud guitars, thundering bass, pounding rhythms and vocal lines with a sleazy punk, rock and metal attitude. The manic lyrics take you on a rollercoaster ride between euphoria and insanity.
VIOLENT DIVINE - formed in late 2005, unanimously praised for their 2006 debut album by critics and fans alike. The album spawned 3 singles: Rush You , Let's Go and Levitate and made great impact in numerous international radio stations as well as in major Swedish radio stations. International press said: “ Rock and roll is back and going to be louder and more alive than ever before” and “ twelve orgasmic tracks of sex, sex and rock n fuckin roll ”
VIOLENT DIVINE is a live act cut above the rest. Past gigs include both festivals like Swedish Bandit Rock 106.3 Festival, Lithuanian Roko Naktys, Finnish Trash Fest 2008, as well as club gigs.
